Story
😣Blueberry Needs Your Help😣 This 20 lbs, 4-month-old is way past her 3-month mark here at the shelter. Blueberry came to us as a stray and staff have watched her grow into her spunky personality. During her first few weeks, staff noticed her losing patches of hair around her face and legs. A skin scrap was done, and Blueberry was diagnosed with demodectic mange. A skin disease caused by a parasitic mite that lives in dogs' hair follicles. One of our wonderful fosters took Blueberry in and helped treat her mange with medicated baths and a daily spray. But Blueberry just wasn't getting better. She was losing more hair with every bath. 🛁 After Blueberry returned to the shelter and was checked over by a local vet, it was suspected that she might also have a food allergy. A switch to a sensitive skin and stomach food was made and slowly but surely, Blueberry has been recovering!🎉 Through all of this, Blueberry has grown into a fun-loving, spunky little girl that hasn't let anything slow her down! 💖 But her journey to be fully recovered is not done and unfortunately the shelter cannot continue to hold her. It's not fair to this sweet girl. She needs all the toys she can desire and a shady spot in the grass to lie in.🌳 Blueberry is currently available for adoption or rescue. If you're interested in meeting her and getting to know her energetic personality, come down to the shelter anytime were open! Tuesday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. Closed 12-1pm for lunch. Saturday from 9am - 2pm

Story
At just 1 year old, Sulfur is the perfect mix of playful energy and lovable goofiness. This sweet pup has a personality that will keep you smiling—whether she’s bouncing around during playtime or showing off his silly side just to make you laugh. Sulfur loves to have fun and would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of playtime and attention. After she’s burned off some of that youthful energy, she’s more than happy to soak up all the love you have to give.

Story
At just 2 years old, Persimmon is looking for a fresh start and a loving forever home. She came to us after her owner sadly had to go into the hospital, and now she’s ready to find a family of her own again. Persimmon is an extremely sweet girl who loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She’s playful, affectionate, and has a gentle personality that makes her easy to fall in love with. She is also housetrained and settles in nicely once she feels comfortable. Persimmon would do best as the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She didn’t mind cats while in her foster home, but she will need a home without chickens. If you’re looking for a loving companion who enjoys both playtime and snuggle time, Persimmon could be the perfect match for you.

Story
Keela was found starving along roadside. She is definitely a sweetheart. Loves to do zoomies. She has a smile that is so cute. She wants to play and be with her person. She is a good watchdog. She is a dominant female so she will not get along with other female dogs. She does get along with male dogs. She acts like she would chase the cats and I am pretty sure she wouldn't be too nice if she caught one. So this theory hasn't been tested. She rides well. Currently she uses the dog door to let herself out to large fenced area. She knows the situation and down commands. She is on heartworm prevention.
