Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Elliot is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s looking for stability and a family to call her own. She has lived comfortably with a cat, small dogs, big dogs, and children, and she enjoys being part of a busy, loving home. She’s your typical playful puppy—full of energy, joy, and sometimes a bit too much enthusiasm! Elliot is still learning her manners, but she responds wonderfully to training and is very food-motivated once she feels settled. Elliot loves being with her people. She can climb chain-link fencing, so she’ll need supervision outside or a secure yard, but she’s not trying to run away—she just wants to stay close to the humans she loves. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and loving companion who’s eager to learn and eager to please, Elliot might be your perfect match! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 25, 2025, 3:28 pm

Story
Marcy is the sweetest dog you could ask for. Marcy is 6 years old black lab with a little white on her tail and chest. She loves kids and wants to spend all day playing. She would do very well in a house that has a dog already but isn't necessary. She is also gentle toward cats. Put in an application if you'd like to meet her!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We can't think of a time when we have had such sweet dogs at our shelter, and Duke is at the top of the list right now! His coat is silky-soft and he is SO outgoing and fun! What a loving, attentive boy, who wants only to have a home where he can be loved forever. He and his bonded brother, Prince, were surrendered together, and we know it must have been so heartbreaking for their family. The boys are crate trained, share everything equally, and told us they would appreciate being fostered together so that being adopted separately would be less traumatic for them. It's hard to see how much they love each other, yet know that finding them a home together will not be easy.   What do you think? You can get double the love right here!    PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 18, 2026, 4:54 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Red's family asked us to find him a home, through our "My Home to Yours" complementary posting. Here is what she says about him: "He does not like to be outside, so he potties and then cries until he’s let back in-- so definitely an inside doggy. He is 7-8 years old, and is very friendly and cuddly but can also be very clingy and has separation anxiety. He is around children very comfortably, but we recommend older respectful kids since Red had a bad experience when an unsupervised toddler jumped on him and pulled his tail. Red loves his humans, being safe inside, and being loved! He is not a fan of hiking or adventures to a dog park so if you are looking for a solid easy-to-care-for pet, Red would most likely be a lovely fit. "My Home to Yours" We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
