Story
(DOB 01/15/2025) Raisin is a super friendly, happy-go-lucky pup who has truly never met a stranger. Whether it’s people, other dogs, or the guy delivering your packages, Raisin is convinced everyone is a new best friend. He attends doggie daycare often and has energy to spare, keeping up easily with all his buddies. Raisin thrives with canine companions and would enjoy a fenced yard to zoom around in, but he’s flexible! He can be an only dog and doesn’t require a fenced yard as long as his people are committed to giving him fun ways to burn off that joyful energy like daily walks, play sessions, daycare, toys, or simply time spent by your side all make him one happy Raisin. He’s working on his leash manners and will need someone willing to practice with him, but he loves car rides, adventures, and being part of whatever his people are doing. He’s also crate trained, which makes downtime and routines easy. Raisin gets along great with older, calmer kiddos. We aren't sure about cats because he hasn't had an opportunity to meet any at this time. If you’re looking for a cheerful, social, and energetic companion, Raisin is the perfect pup for an awesome family! As part of Raisin’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Raisin, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2594280##

Story
(DOB 02/13/2023) With his silly antics, playful energy, and heart of gold, Myers is the kind of dog who will keep you laughing and smiling every single day. Whether he's romping around with his dog friends, trying to chew on your feet, or tossing a toy around on his own, this guy knows how to have a good time. Myers adores other dogs and would thrive with a playful companion—but he’d also be happy as your one and only pup, as long as he gets plenty of love and activity. He’s crate trained, house trained, and always ready to share his joy with the world. He loves being outside so a home with a fenced in yard would be ideal!  While we don’t know much about his past, x-rays revealed several old BB pellets in his backside, which have made him a bit sensitive to touch in that area, especially with new people. Because of this, Myers would do best in a home with no children or older children who understand and respect his needs. Even with that, Myers is the epitome, the perfect example, of not letting bad things bring you down...he is the exact opposite; joy, love, and happiness! Now, Myers is ready to bring all his goofball charm to a family who will love him for the happy, resilient sweetheart he is! As part of Myers’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt DOG, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2335804##

Story
(DOB 1/22/2026) If you're looking for a puppy who lives life at full speed and loves with her whole heart, Princess Tiana is ready to rule your kingdom! This adorable young girl is overflowing with curiosity, personality, and puppy energy. Every day is a new adventure in Tiana's world, and she's looking for a family that wants to join the fun. Tiana is a social butterfly who absolutely loves other dogs. Whether she's puppy wrestling, playing tug-of-war, chasing a ball in a game of fetch, or zooming around the yard with her canine friends, she's happiest when she has a playmate by her side. Because she's still young and learning about the world, Tiana would thrive in a home with another playful dog or a family committed to providing plenty of opportunities for doggy socialization through playdates, daycare, or regular outings. A securely fenced yard is also at the top of her wish list so she can safely burn off some of that puppy energy. Like any true princess, Tiana knows how to balance playtime with snuggle time. Once she's worn herself out, she transforms into a world-class cuddle bug. Be prepared for lots of puppy kisses and surprise nap locations! Tiana loves to curl up right on top of her humans, whether that's across your feet, your lap, your stomach, or even your head. Of course, she's also perfectly happy snoozing in her dog bed after a busy day of adventures. Tiana is good with children, though her size and enthusiastic puppy energy make her a better fit for families with older kids who can handle her playful nature. She is also learning about cats and currently finds them a little too fascinating, so her foster family is helping her practice appropriate manners around feline friends. As a young puppy, Tiana is still working on all the important life skills. She's making progress with crate training, potty training, leash walking, and learning not to jump up when she's excited to meet people. She's smart, eager to learn, and responds well to consistent guidance. Her ideal family will understand that puppies require patience, training, exercise, and continued socialization to grow into amazing adult dogs. Tiana is the total puppy package playful, affectionate, entertaining, and endlessly lovable. She'll keep you laughing with her silly antics, melt your heart with her sweet kisses, and remind you every day just how much joy a puppy can bring to a home. If you're ready for a loyal sidekick, a professional snuggler, and a four-legged best friend who will keep life exciting, Princess Tiana is ready to meet her happily ever after. As part of Tiana’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Tiana, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2730377##

Story
(DOB 09/29/2024) Sydney the beautiful, joyful girl ready for her forever family! Sydney is a playful, social sweetheart who loves making the most of every day. She thrives in doggie daycare, enjoys playing with her canine friends, and is always up for a walk, a run, or a good romp with her toys. With her upbeat, energetic personality, she’s looking for a home that appreciates her active spirit. Sydney would shine in a family with another playful dog. She’s naturally gentle and non-dominant, happy to take on the role of the easygoing, submissive sister. She’s wonderfully social with both people and dogs and does great with kids, especially those who enjoy a happy, bouncy companion. So let's find her a home with a fun, 4-legged sibling (2-legged ones are great, too) and a fenced in yard for them to play together! What a beautiful sight that will be!! Her enthusiasm does sometimes lead to a bit of “escape artist” behavior—this girl loves an open door a little too much—so a family willing to keep gates and doors secure will help keep her safe. If you want a car companion, Sydney loves jumping in and going with you! She is also crate trained and working on leash manners. So make sure you have time daily for strolls and practice. At heart, Sydney is affectionate and loves being close to her people. She’s always ready for attention, petting sessions, and plenty of companionship. If you’re searching for a loving, energetic dog to add joy, play, and so much heart to your home, Sydney is your girl! As part of Sydney’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. Story
(DOB 05/24/2016) Don't you want to be Halo's angel? Halo, a dapper and mature gentleman is looking for his perfect human. My fostermom says I'm quite good on the leash & by quite she means; I do my best to not pull her and walk gently by her side. I love long, leisurely walks and sniffing around to see what';s new in the neighborhood. I am a master of both activity and relaxation. When I'm feeling frisky, a few backyard zoomies are always fun. Other times, you'll find me soaking up the sun on the deck, watching the world go by. After a good day, I love nothing more than cuddling up on the couch under my warm, super-soft blankie. It makes me feel so safe and loved. I've learned to be a good housemate, too. When my foster mom leaves, I go into my crate for a nap and just sleep until she comes back. I don't get & get "barky", but I will let you know if a stranger comes into the yard—it's the least I can do! This makes me a great candidate for an apartment or condo, as long as I get my regular potty breaks.   But, full disclosure, I do get a little excited about chasing squirrels and cats, so my human would need to be mindful of that. I prefer to be the center of attention and would love to be your one and only fur-baby. I might be open to a chill similarly-sized female dog after a proper introduction. (I do love my foster sister and will even curl up with her on the couch, but I’m choosy about my doggy friends.) I have not been around children so not sure how I’d react but foster mommy thinks that because Istartle with loud sounds and quick movements, it would be best if I didn’t have children around. I promise to give you my whole heart and be your most loyal and affectionate companion. If you're ready for heaven on earth, let's meet soon! As part of Halo’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Halo, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2131279##

Story
(10/11/2021) Are you curious about Stevie Wonder's halo and name? Stevie Wonder got his name because, like his namesake, he cannot see. This sweet boy is completely blind but that does not stop him at all. The wonderful organization, Muffin’s Halo, donated a harness halo to help Stevie acclimate to his new surroundings and use whenever he needs it. OR maybe, just maybe, he has a halo simply because he is an angel!?!? He loves the companionship of people and dogs so a fur-ever home with a friendly furry sibling to hang out with and at least one person home most of the time, is the kind of family Stevie is LOOKING for!! He really loves having other dogs and people around. He is a great buddy to have brighten your days.  This boy is a fun and very happy pup and will need a family that is patient and accommodating to watch over him and keep him out of harms way. A fenced yard or leash walks would be best to keep him safe. Stevie's blindness does not limit him, but he will bump into things until he is use to where everything is in the home. Stevie would likely not be the best choice for a family if you have littles toddling around, he could knock them over unknowingly. He has been to a animal eye specialist that has diagnosed him with a birth defect, that is non-painful. His eyes never fully matured, he likely saw shadows as a pup, and he is now  completely blind. He is crate trained and good in his crate, and he will let you know if he needs to go out.  Adopt sweet Stevie, he’s a good boy who needs a loving patient home and he will reward you with loyalty and laughter! As part of Stevie Wonders’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Stevie Wonder, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2214094##
