Story
(12/29/2018) Honey is pure gold; she is a go with the-flow kind of girl--she knows how to have fun but is equally ready to settle in for snuggles and snoozing.  She won’t say no to a fenced yard to explore and run some zoomies in, but she doesn’t require one.  She would do just fine in an apartment or a house without a fence if her family took her for one or two walks per day. Honey is dog friendly, and good with kids of all ages.  She likes toys and likes to chew, so she would do well with durable toys and things to keep her occupied. At the end of the day, she’ll be the first one to lay on the couch and cuddle with you. Honey is house trained and is crate trained and will relax calmly in her crate when you are away from home.  This girl LOVES her car rides and will happily be your Ride Or Die! She also loves getting walkies and is great on her leash. If you're looking for a dog to take to breweries and restaurants, Honey is definitely your new bestie. Honey is looking for a loving home with her furever family to love her and play with her. Is it you? As part of Honey's $300 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Sandy, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##945313##

Story
(DOB 12/17/2023)   This girl is super smart and quick to pick up on commands AND she's eager to please,  she learned basic commands in a day, what a little smarty-pants! The ideal home for Juicy Fruit is one in which she has her people home with her often. Since she is still a puppy with a good amount of energy ready to be your buddy!!! Another young or young-at-heart playful dog would be great in her forever home or an active family lifestyle where she has lots of fun and attention. This natural beauty groans hysterically when she’s sleepy. Her ideal sleeping position is on her back in between two humans. Her very best 2-legged friend his her foster's moms 5-year old child.  She has the happiest, most enthusiastic puppy butt/body wiggle, this girl wears her emotion on her sleeve. This girl is pretty adaptable; she would be ok in a family with other doggie siblings or people siblings, could be in a home or an apartment, condo or townhome since she doesn't require a fenced in yard (of course, as long as she has plenty of playtime and several walks a day).  Juicy fruit is still learning all of her training so a consistent and regular routine has been important.      As part of Juicy Fruit’s $325 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Juicy Fruit, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2010110##

Story
(DOB 12/17/2023) Bubble Yum is your typical puppy. She is inquisitive about everything and is full of kisses.  She is very loving.  Her days are spent eating, sleeping, playing, pottying and repeat.  She just now got enough vaccines to start going outdoors with paws on ground, so true potty training is just beginning.  She is looking for a home with another dog to help her learn how to dog.  She is a budding lap dog and would enjoy a home where her people WFH.  As part of Bubble Yum’s $325 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Bubble Yum, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2010106##

Story
(DOB 4/19/2024).  Due to Honcho's young age, he has not yet been neutered.  For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).  Honcho is a fun loving puppy that is looking for his forever family. Honcho is your typical puppy and loves to play. The other dogs in his foster home are his amazing playmates, and he has a blast with them. He is always up for a good ole' game of tug-o-war.  His days are spent eating, sleeping, playing, pottying and repeat. So remember you have to be patient and ready to help him continue his potty training. Honcho needs someone home most of the time. He is too young to be left for hours on end; he would be bored and unhappy. Since his bladder is tiny right now, lots of regular outside potty breaks are important. If you don't get him out often, he may have some little accidents. He is also working on his crate training, too. He can sleep through the night without accidents in his crate. Honcho wants another fun pup in his fur-ever home to be his buddy.  Older/other dogs help puppies learn and build confidence. They are natural teachers about just being a dog. Honcho can be shy when first meeting new people but warms up quickly with a little patience and then he is fine. Honcho would thrive in a home that has the time, energy & patience to shape him into their best friend. He is willing and ready to begin some puppy training. It is a great time to use toys or treats to build basic understanding of common queues or commands like SIT, DOWN, WAIT, LOOK, PLACE, COME. To puppies, training can be another play session in thier world and only 15 minutes 2-3 times a day makes quick work of it. Don't forget the importance of proper leash walking training as well. Even with a fenced yard, all puppies should learn good behavior, early on, when walking on a leash, so when you go to the vet, to an outing, etc. your little puppy that has grown into a big, strong dog won't be pulling you around. Honcho and cats --- he is good with them but will chase if they run; he thinks they, too, want to play with him. Well, who wouldn't want to play with cutie? He is expected to be a big boy, and Honcho is a bit of a chatter box, so he probably would not be a good fit for an apartment, condo or townhome living. Plus, he really wants a fenced yard (4ft-5ft) because he loves being outside with his furry friends or his people.  Does your life and your lifestyle sound like a perfect kind of match for young Honcho? Then get your fingers primed to fill out an application today! As part of Honcho’s $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Honcho, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2078075##
