Meet Boss Boss is a wonderful 4-year-old purebred Great Pyrenees looking for his forever home! Boss is a handsome, all-white Great Pyrenees with a big heart to match his size. He is friendly, loving, and wonderful with children, making him a great companion for a family looking for a loyal and affectionate dog. At four years old, Boss is active and enjoys having room to move, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Because of his size and activity level, he needs a large, securely fenced backyard where he can safely stretch his legs and get the exercise he needs. Boss is ready to find a family who will give him the love, space, and forever home he deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loving Great Pyrenees to become part of your family, Boss may be your perfect match!

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Came to CPR from Española Humane Shelter in New Mexico with his sister in May 2026 at 3 months old and was adopted. Returned in August 2026 due to reported food aggression with the other dog in the household. Louie will need a family who understands this behavior and is willing to work through it with him, as he is still at an age where this can be brought to a more manageable level, if not resolved. From the foster: 🐾 Meet Louie! Meet Louie — a goofy, smart, and energetic boy who thinks every dog he meets is his new best friend! 🐶❤️ Louie absolutely thrives at the dog park. He loves running, playing, and meeting new friends, and his happy, social personality really shines when he gets to be around other dogs. Don’t worry, he also needs to say hi to all the people at the park too! An active family who enjoys getting out and about would be a wonderful fit for this adventurous boy. He’s also great in the car. Louie is also extremely smart and very food motivated, which makes training a lot of fun! He picks up new tricks quickly and is eager to learn. He is already potty trained and is continuing to work on making good choices, especially when it comes to his love of chewing. A supply of appropriate bones and toys will definitely be appreciated! When he’s not busy playing, Louie loves a good bone, hanging out with his people, and showing off his goofy personality by lounging around on his back. Louie would do best with a family who can give him plenty of exercise, playtime, enrichment, and continued training. Come meet Louie! 🐾 You’ll fall in love instantly! Bio from foster #1: Ready for a new pup in your life but not sure you're up for all the puppy work? Meet Louie, a sweet and gentle pup who just needs some finishing puppy touches. He's potty trained, he doesn't chew things that aren't his toys, he's good on walks, he's crate trained (although we - his current fosters - don't bother crating him; he sleeps on the bed with us). He's polite when he meets dogs and people on neighborhood walks and at the dog park. He's a gem. We know he needs some training about resource guarding, for which he was returned by his adopters after three months. I'm optimistic he can move past it, given the chance. Meantime, as the only dog in our house, he's relaxed and completely docile. Full puppy disclosure: when he comes home after an unsuccessful adoption event, we make sure we don't leave food on the counter, we pull up our shades so he doesn't jump on them when we leave the house (which makes him anxious), we close doors to rooms we'd rather he not explore while we're gone, and we keep towels on hand for mopping up his exuberant sessions at the water bowl. He IS a puppy, and still will develop his best at-home manners, with all of our help. It breaks our heart that he's not in his forever home tonight. He wants to be home with the family that will love him for the rest of his life. Could that be you? He's available for a reservation. He's full of love for you. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
