Story
Please share! Living in a crate is not a life. ​Sara needs the right home soon. We are worried what fate awaits her. Sara is 1 year old, sweet and loving. She does great with dogs, cats and people. What else could you want? However this gorgeous girl has a bit of containment anxiety or a love of roaming. If not contained , she will roam. If you Google livestock guarding dogs, they do tend to roam. Sara has that tendency. She will need someone dedicated to keeping her close, and carefully managing her. Sara will climb a fence, so this means she will have to wear a harness and collar on walks and they are connected. No off leash time in fenced areas until she learns she has landed in a home and has a solid recall. Right now Sara mostly lives in a crate. She is housetrained and loves snuggling. **Meet Stuart (aka Mr. Stu, aka Mellow Yellow)** Stuart is a 6-month-old bundle of calm, cuddly joy who is ready to find his forever people. True to his nickname, Mr. Stu is a happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow kind of pup who is always down for whatever his humans are doing. Walk? He’s in. Couch time and TV? Absolutely—he’ll bring a stuffy and snuggle right in. Stu is crate trained, about 95% potty trained, and doing great on leash. He *loves* his stuffies and has the softest, cashmere-like fur, basically he's a real-life stuffed animal himself. Add in his soulful, movie-star eyes (almost too pretty for a boy dog), and you’ve got a pup who steals hearts wherever he goes. He enjoys mealtime, loves other dogs, and adores human affection. Stu has a naturally gentle, charming demeanor and just wants to be close to his people. He can be a little shy at first and is still learning that the big world isn’t so scary.  Things like loud trucks, squawking geese and getting into cars can make him nervous. That said, he’s already showing great progress, especially when relaxing jazz or acoustic music helps him settle in the car. With patience and positive experiences (and some park trips!), he’s well on his way to being a confident adventure buddy. Bonus fun fact: Stu’s brother was adopted by extended family, so sibling playdates are totally possible! If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow, goofy cuddle bug who will fit beautifully into your life, Stuart is an incredible “starter pup” and an even better best friend. Story
Goose is a gentle, loving, sweet girl! She is very human oriented and gives the best snuggles. In the morning after sleeping quietly in her kennel all night, she will put her big feet up on the bed and nestle her snout in my neck for a cuddle session. Potty training is still a work in progress but with regular trips outside, an excited "good girl", and a treat she has picked it up and will be a pro in no time.   Goose is about 60 lbs right now and needs to pack on the lbs. Despite probably coming from some food scarcity, she eats her food politely and prefers it with some water and a spoon or two of wet food. I let her eat as much as she wants and she stops when she is full. She loves toys and can often be found lounging with a benebone. You can also find her collection of toys right outside the dog door, which she learned in literal minutes.   Goose is being fostered in a home with dogs ranging in personality (resident grump included) and size. She loves the shihtzu mix, plays with the Aussie mix, and checks to see if the grump has changed their mind (spoiler, they haven't and she respects that). She doesn't love when her Aussie pal gets overly excited and she really really values her human attention, but she has been very very easy to manage. She went on her first Westminster Hills walk and Goose was happy to walk right along side the humans. She did great meeting other dogs and any human that showed her attention was automatically her bestie.   She does have a mischievous side and she will commit crimes like stealing shoes, which she puts with her collection of toys in the yard. Also, her head is pretty close to counter height soooo she might think she needs to check it out. Her foster mom is working on that.   I really can't say enough good things about Goose. With her calm demeanor, soulful eyes, quick loyalty to me, and desire to just be loved I know she is going to make the very best friend to her forever family. Come meet her and I guarantee you will fall in love.  ##2631440##
