Story
Sully was found as a stray near the HEB by William cannon and I-35. Not much is known about his life before this moment, but he has made quite the impression in the short time we have had him. From the moment we set eye on him he was a happy gentleman, sitting calmly outside HEB. He accepted food gently, and belly rubs with great enthusiasm. Since that moment Sully has proven to be a mild mannered, medium to low energy dog, who is grateful to be inside and willing to accept any love shown to him. He has met many people, tons of dogs and one sassy cat, and each time he is polite, calm and friendly. He gently wrestles with our high energy dog, but ultimately loves to flop over on his back during play and just wiggle on the ground. He does not resource guard but he is food motivated for training, and he walks well on leash. He doesn’t bark inside and will generally only bark outside if left alone, he for the most part just wants his human close by. He is willing to cuddle, but could easily be trained to stay off furniture as for the most part he just lays on the floor or his dog bed. Again he is calm with cats!! He shows mild interest in our cat but responds well to being redirected or even disciplined by the cat.i would recommend a slow introduction to be safe, but he is very gentle and just a giant lovable oaf. He has also played well and been friendly with every dog he has been introduced to. As a large unfixed male, this was something we were worried about initially, but as with everything else he has exceeded our expectations. And he will be fixed soon, so that will likely calm him even more.Sully could do well in any environment but I believe his perfect home would be him with a kind family that maybe has a pet or two for him to be friends with. He would love a home where people are around and spending time with him or bringing him out on lots of walks. He deserves to be around people and loved and spoiled every day. Sully would not do well in a home where he is kept outside or as more of an outdoor dog, as he is a prince and deserves to be treated as such.He is about 2 years old, in good health but heart worm positive. He is fully house trained, good with dogs and cats, children unknown but I have a strong sense he would be as gentle with them as every other person he has met. He is medium to low energy, but likes to play, and is opening up more everyday. So far he doesn’t jump or lick and has very good manners meeting new people. He is a great dog who deserves a very loving family Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 80 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  A note from Duke:  Hey there, I'm Duke!  A soft, loyal, slightly goofy guy looking for my forever home.  I'm happiest when I get to run, dig cozy holes to nap in, or go on sniffing adventures (my nose leads the way!).  I'm a bit of a climber too-fences don't slow me down much-so I'll need a safe, secure space to keep my exploring paws where they belong. I love food, toys, and finding the squeaker in every toy I meet.  Snacks and playtime are my two favorite things!  I also know basic commands and I'm a really good listener when you talk to me kindly-I'll even roll right over for belly rubs.  I get along great with dogs of all sizes (except one unneutered male who just rubbed me the wrong way) and I'm cat friendly too.  The truth is, I'm a gentle soul.  I get a little scared when voices are raised or there's sudden movement,  so I'd do best with someone who has a calm, patient energy. Leash walks are fun-unless there's something really interesting to smell, then I might tug a bit.  My fur is super soft, but when I get muddy (which I love), the dirt mysteriously ends up on the floor once it dries...can't imagine how that happens?!  Oh, and one more thing, I don't like the color red.  Don't ask me why, I just don't trust it.  If you've got a farm or plenty of room to roam, I'd be the happiest boy by your side.  I've got a big heart, a playful spirit, and I'm ready to love my person forever.  Love, Duke. Duke is in Snohomish and can be available within WA-OR. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 27, 2025, 9:09 am
