Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Bolt is still patiently waiting for his forever home.  Bolt came into rescue after being taken to a shelter by a family that said he had grown to be "too big".  While in rescue, he was caught in a weird matrix around Covid and post Covid and hardly received any applications. And for some reason we couldn’t secure a foster for him-until now.  Bolt has been in boarding all this time and although the people there took such great care of him, he much deserves his forever home.  He’s a sweet guy, he loves people and wants to follow his foster mom everywhere!  His foster mom is just getting to know him, but so far he’s a polite guest, not at all destructive, and asks to go outside when he needs to do his business.  He seems very smart and alert!  He’s quite a counter surfer but so far has only secured paper towels that he loves to shred.  He can get excited when meeting new people and greet them with hugs but settles down quickly. He’s being slowly tested with other dogs and cats as he gets comfortable in his new home.  He has DNA pending and we’ll update that when we know! Bolt is currently in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within OR-WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here’s Della!  Della is mom of the “Perry Mason” litter from the large rescue in the PNW over the summer.  Della is a little over a year old and came from a difficult environment.  She is a sweet girl who deserves a better life.  Just a baby herself, she is looking for a foster or adopter willing to put in the time to show her how a dog’s life can be with a loving family.  She is a beautiful girl who will play hard to get while she’s trying to figure out if she can trust you or not, so kindness, consistency and a calm and loving environment will go a long way.  She has shown ZERO aggression and will panic a little if she feels unsafe and it’s understandable for what she’s been through.  She was SUCH a good mama taking care of her puppies, most have been adopted.  She will need help with all the things, feeling safe, leash walking, riding in a car and learning how to play and be a dog.  Do you have the heart and environment for Della?  She deserves so much more and we are so hopeful she will find her forever.  Is it you?   Pyrenees experience as well as shy-dog experience necessary for this sweet & quirky girl! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This bouncy trouncy flouncy pouncy 18 month old boy is still brimming with puppy energy! The best home for Atlas will have a large confident younger dog who can play hard and give as good as he/she gets. Atlas also wants a teen-to-adult "people pack" to hang with and from whom he can demand the required number of back scritches and belly rubs needed to support his best life. He is a fan of hanging out with his peeps (and searching for any dropped popcorn) during Netflix binge watching sessions. Atlas had a rough start and still needs significant leash skills development. He also can have a reactive / fear response to unknown people and situations that can look like aggression. It will be important for potential adopters to see this behavior in his foster home before committing. Atlas will bounce after smaller animals if they run. There are two chill kitties in his doggy foster home who can manage his energy and one which cannot, so high energy dog saavy cats only, if any. He is an excavation expert--if you need a culvert put in, or drainage added around your house--he's your guy! Atlas encourages good household habits--no more leaving dishes for "later" in the sink or food out on the buffet with this fellow around. Atlas cannot abide a crate, but he sleeps through the night and stays on his own bed in the bedroom he currently shares with his foster moms and pyr sister. Should you need supervision as you move throughout your day, this guy will happily watch every step you make--mostly to be sure he's not missing any cheese tax--but also so he knows you're safe in the shower.  Atlas is being fostered in South Oregon and can be adopted within WA-OR.
Hi there! I'm Katy!  I was brought into rescue from a pretty awful property in Southern Oregon!  When I arrived it was noted that I had a pretty significant limp and required surgery on my right knee.  Unfortunately the surgery didn't take and in February I went back in for my second surgery.  I am currently working on improving my mobility by attending rehab with my own veterinary assistant Kim at Healing Arts Animal Care!  My foster Dad and I work on exercises at home too because when foster Dad says you're doing rehab I said Yes, Yes, Yes!  I do have some hip dysplasia so I will need to watch my weight as any girl does, and would benefit from some joint supplements.  I love walks but might never be a champion hiker.  I love to play with toys and horse around outside.  I would be happy as an only dog but would also love a brother or sister to play with. I am a sweet, sweet girl. I can be a bit shy at first but when I settle in I love everyone and just want to play.  I am crate trained and potty trained, walk well on a leash and sleep in my crate at night.  I am food and treat motivated which makes me very receptive to training.  I love to lay on dog pillows and rugs wherever my people and animal friends are. I get along well with other dogs both small and large. I would love to be part of your family and am being fostered in Beaverton, OR. I can be adopted within OR-WA.  All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $375 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Story
Lucy was a rescue. She is part Great Pyrenees, but do not know the other breed. She was born in January 2024 and we adopted her in March 2024. Currently 8 Months old. She is very sweet and loving to our family, however, she has severe anxiety. She is not aggressive, and has not bitten or nipped - but she can get over-excited or have spontaneous behavior, which is causing an issue with two very young children getting knocked over or stepped on. She has a prescription for an anti-anxiety medication, and needs someone who will have the time to help her rehabilitate and get her anxiety under control. She is currently afraid of going on walks in the street or sidewalk, but will run and play in our fenced backyard. She is kennel trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands. Under guidance from our Vet, with her medication and care Lucy would be a kind and caring addition to your household but we do not currently have the time or ability to care for her the way she deserves.

Story
Robyn was rescued from a local animal shelter about 2 years ago and is 3.5 years old. She is high energy, loves frequent walks, treats, and likes to lounge on the couch at the end of a long day. Although our family loves her, she has behavioral problems around other small dogs, and one that led to an accidental death of a small dog. We are unable to keep her as we have tried training but she has a high prey drive and needs space to roam and release her energy, which we are unable to provide. She does well with other dogs her size or bigger, but no smaller animals. Preferably, we would like someone who can match her energy or has land to let her run free.

Story
This is Ruby 😍 She's a sweet, loving, friendly and beautiful Great Pyreneese dog! Unfortunately she has already lived in 3 homes during her short life. 😥 She is almost 2 years old, house trained, spayed and has all of her shots (due for updates this spring). She is not microchipped. We thought she would be a great fit for my brother who lives alone and works at home. Unfortunately Ruby is an escape artist and can climb his 5ft metal fence (the community he lives in won't allow taller or wood fences). She is getting out almost daily and we're afraid she's going to get hurt. Ruby needs a home with a large yard & tall fence, or maybe a ranch, or walked on a leash. She loves people and does well with kids and other dogs. (haven't seen her around cats but I feel like she would adapt fine). She's currently located in Pflugerville, TX . Rehoming fee of $50 to ensure a good home. Posting for my brother.

Story
He is a goofy cuddle bug. Likes to be the little spoon. Super Smart. Adorable underbite when he is trying to distract you. Runs like Scooby Doo when playing hide n go seek. Clean bill of health. I love him very very much, and he has been spoiled since I rescued him starved on the side of the road three months ago. No separation anxiety or food aggression. Knows basic commands. Comes with toys, food, pool, meds, brushes, everything a dog needs. Would be willing to pay for food until he gets settled in. I am trying really hard to not take him to the shelter because I’m afraid to undo all the progress he has had. Also fear reactive to strangers due to abuse. I’ve only had him three months but I think he would respond well to reactivity training, although I’m not getting the chance as my landlord wants him gone. I’ve introduced him to a couple of experienced people and he did perfectly with them after about 15 minutes worth of treats. But a big scared dog needs experience.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When you are eating at a restaurant do you like when strangers stop to take food off your plate?  How about when family members do it?  Still no?  Well, then you will likely understand Zira. Zira is an 11 month old Pyr/Anatolian mix pulled with her sister in a TX shelter when she was about 5 months old. Zira was adopted by a couple who then returned her as they didn’t know how to help her when she was communicating.  Zira is a super sweet and silly girl who will give you hours of entertainment. Her whole body wiggles and wags when she sees people and anticipates getting loves, boop kisses, then she will flop over on her side for belly rubs. When she doesn’t have a care in the world, she’s out doing zoomies, chasing around her toys that she can throw herself, or playing with her foster siblings.  She is very smart, learns quickly and is very food motivated which helps with training.  She is an adventurer, loves to play with other dogs, loves to DIG (and is very good at it so you must love her more than your yard) and quietly sleeps through the night.  She is fine with cats.  She is crate trained, walks well on a leash and is fully potty trainied.  Zira is a great communicator and growls when she is uncomfortable, that in turn may make some people uncomfortable. She may not like every dog she encounters immediately and others she will.  She would benefit from a calm and confident human who can help her feel safe under such conditions.  Her current foster has two other fosters, Zira loved the female immediately and growled at the male for 4 days.  With a lot of reassurance (and treats), Zira started to look at her foster brother with curiosity and playfulness.  Now they can play nicely together in the yard!  Zira is at the age where she’s really considering her guarding trait, what she was genetically meant to do.  She needs to decide who is friend or foe and not everyone will be a friend…at least right away and maybe she may find a dog she doesn’t like at all.  Just like us people, we don’t always like everyone we meet.  Her first line of defense it to make it known she’s uncomfortable (growling maybe showing teeth) and then evaluating from afar.  She has likely OUTGROWN dog parks with her maturing as it takes her time to evaluate a “threat” (4 days for her foster brother).  She would love to have a friendly and loving sibling who she can count on through thick and thin.  Even so, she will likely never want to share her meals or her bones but may be able to be encouraged to share her toys.  With learning her guardian role, Zira does a great job barking at threats or when her foster siblings are barking.  She has a beautiful full and rich alto bark that should deter any stranger.  She is not a trained working dog but loves to be outside.  She is unaware of her size so large and sturdy children are best as she doesn’t have a “pyr paw” she has a “pyr PUNCH!”  Zira is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within OR-WA.  OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) These puppies can be livestock dogs to farms and homesteads experienced in training LGDs.
