Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet BOLT!  Bolt is a handsome Pyr mix who is about 1-2 years old and weighs 65 lbs.  Bolt came into rescue after being taken to a shelter by a family that said he had grown to be "too big".  Bolt is a sweet guy, he loves people but he can be dog selective, he would do best as an only dog. He seems to be fine around cats.  Bolt is working on his leash skills and other basic training, he is a smart boy and is doing well.  He can get excited when meeting new people and greet them with hugs (jumping) but settles down quickly. He would love to find a forever family soon!  Bolt is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport.   All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet SARGENT! Sarge is a playful, goofy, and loving Great Pyrenees / Lab mix. He is just under 3 years old and on the smaller side for his breed, weighing in at 65 pounds.   Sarge loves playing and roughhousing and would love to find a home with another friendly dog to show him the ropes and help get his energy out! Once acquainted, he gets along with friendly dogs of all sizes. He’s a great adventure buddy and would love an active forever home that will take him on walks and hikes. He LOVES going for his daily walks and does pretty well on a leash. He’s a very curious boy and enjoys taking his time on walks to smell the roses and observe what’s going on. He does have a prey drive and occasionally pulls when he sees rabbits or squirrels.   Once he’s gotten all of his energy out, he enjoys snoozing on the couch or in the yard with his favorite squeaky stuffed animal. He is very sweet and tender-hearted. He loves to be near his people and will often follow you from room to room. He prefers not to be in a crate and sleeps nicely on a dog bed in his foster parents’ bedroom at night.   True to his Great Pyr forebears, Sarge can be vocal and talkative at times, and he will let you know if he hasn’t had enough playtime. He likes to patrol and will alert bark to let you know someone is near the house or yard.  His expressive talking and sassy side-eye constantly make his fosters laugh.   He can be wary of strangers of all ages (both people and other animals) but warms up once he learns they’re friendly. He likes to have his personal space respected so would prefer a home with older children or adults only. Sarge is untested with cats.   Sarge does have some separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he isn’t left for long periods of time. Having another friendly dog around seems to help put him at ease. He would benefit from patient and consistent positive training to help him be his best self! He is food motivated, which is great for training. His forever home must have good fencing as he can easily climb shorter fencing.    Sargent is currently being fostered in Seattle, WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Miles is about 80 pounds and is a healthy, happy dog. Miles gets along with everyone, cats included. His crate is his safe space, and he eats and sleeps well and with no issues. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here’s Della!  Della is mom of the “Perry Mason” litter from the large rescue in the PNW over the summer.  Della is a little over a year old and came from a difficult environment.  She is a sweet girl who deserves a better life.  Just a baby herself, she is looking for a foster or adopter willing to put in the time to show her how a dog’s life can be with a loving family.  She is a beautiful girl who will play hard to get while she’s trying to figure out if she can trust you or not, so kindness, consistency and a calm and loving environment will go a long way.  She has shown ZERO aggression and will panic a little if she feels unsafe and it’s understandable for what she’s been through.  She was SUCH a good mama taking care of her puppies, most have been adopted.  She will need help with all the things, feeling safe, leash walking, riding in a car and learning how to play and be a dog.  Do you have the heart and environment for Della?  She deserves so much more and we are so hopeful she will find her forever.  Is it you?   Pyrenees experience as well as shy-dog experience necessary for this sweet & quirky girl! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Trapper!  Trapper is one of the “dads” from the large rescue in the PNW over the summer.  Trapper is a little over a year old and is trying to learn how to be a dog.  He came from a challenging environment yet is so, so sweet and funny.  He likes other dogs, plays at the daycare where he currently lives.  He is very observant to his environment as livestock guardians should.  He is largely unsocialized with people but shows ZERO aggression.  He can be leashed up and loves to seek attention, mostly on his terms when he’s starting to build trust.  He isn’t keen on being contained and will use his nose to root out of crates and kennels, he wants to be a free spirit.  He will need help with dog things including feeling safe in his environment, leash walking, riding in a car and learning how to play and be a dog.  Do you have the heart and environment for Trapper?  He’s ready for his best life, we’re hoping that’s with you!  Pyrenees experience as well as shy-dog experience necessary for this sweet boy! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hello to Misty!! This gorgeous, freckled face girl is a playful, sweet, and sassy Great Pyrenees who is 3 years old. She loves people, dogs, and kids! Really, Misty could really be described as the biggest love bug and adores her smaller foster siblings. In her foster home, Misty has free reign of the house and goes in and out of the doggy door at will. She is also crate trained. She is doing great with walking on a leash, and she is curious about every new experience and smell, incl cats! Misty is social and wants to be best friends with every friendly dog and person she meets. She has been on many adventures with her foster mama! She sleeps or at least stays indoors most of the night and sleeps on the couch, the floor, but very rarely on her own bed. She also is the fluffiest alarm clock. She WILL wake you up in the morning if she thinks you have slept long enough, and she needs her breakfast. Ha! Misty can be dramatic and sassy, and it is hilarious but is also very sweet, loving and sensitive. She can also be counted on to do her job of protecting her family and will often times sleep right at the front entrance. She's really just the best girl!  Misty is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. She would be a great outside dog with someone who has land. Athena should not be kept as an inside dog as she is having problems with potty training.

Story
Klaus is the sweetest, fluffiest, and most lovable giant you will ever meet! With his crazy puppy years behind him, he's got a healthy amount of energy to share with his family balanced with a contentment to napping and snuggling close for cuddles. Klaus loves playing with an assortment of toys and loves most dogs too. He has a balanced energy that other dogs tend to find comfortable and was described as a "play group rock star" during his time staying in the kennels at APA. Klaus would shine his brightest in a home with a yard or with a very active family who can help him get his energy out in healthy ways. He's fully housetrained and happy to entertain himself, so he'll slide easily into home life. Because of his size, he may do best with older teens and up in the home, but he'd happily live with another dog! He's very well mannered in the backyard, and with the help of his special harness, his walks are getting there, too! Interested in meeting this beautiful snowball or have questions? Just send a message and his fosters will get back with you! You can find more photos and funny stories about Klaus on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100095288003213

Story
Meet Spinach, a charming and playful pup with a unique feature - he has only one eye! But don't let that fool you, as he is full of energy and loves to play tug of war and chase flies in the great outdoors. His goofiness is sure to keep you entertained, especially when he tries to clumsily jump on the couch or shows his excitement through hilarious facial expressions. Spinach is a well-trained dog, he is house-trained and has mastered the "sit" command. He responds well to positive reinforcement and is highly motivated by food... aren't we all? However, Spinach needs to live in a household with adults and kids old enough to respect his space when he is eating and understand that he doesn't like to share his things. But don't let that discourage you, as he is a loyal and loving companion who will make an amazing buddy on walks and romps around the backyard.

These pups are in Cedar Park, Texas too!
