Story
Meet Forest!
Forest is Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his name and a personality that's impossible not to love. This handsome boy is incredibly smart, eager to please, and picks up new things in no time. He's already making great progress with his house training and has turned leash walking into one of his favorite activities—he's a natural! He is also learning to fetch, and has learned the commands "stay" and "shake"!
One of the sweetest things about Forest? When his foster family sits down for dinner, he doesn't beg for a bite. Instead, he curls up under the table at their feet and peacefully naps, happy just to be close to his people.
Forest is a gentle soul, too. He recently met a curious 2-year-old neighbor and was calm, patient, and never once got nippy with her tiny fingers, showing he has all the makings of a wonderful family dog.
He's also great with his foster sibling, who is a senior, 10lb dog. He plays at his level, inviting him with gentle pawing.
At bedtime, Forest happily sleeps through the night on a dog bed beside his foster family's bed. While he's still getting used to his crate, he settles in well for a few hours at a time and continues to build confidence every day.
This sweet boy is very people-oriented and forms strong bonds with those he loves. Because he's such a social pup, he'd do best with a family where someone is home often, another playful canine companion, or a routine that includes doggy daycare once he's old enough. Forest thrives on companionship and simply wants to be part of the action.
If you're looking for a loyal best friend who is affectionate, gentle, eager to learn, and happiest by your side, Forest is ready to grow up with you. All he needs is a family to call his own! ❤️🌲
