Story
McGuinness was found as a stray. This little fluf ball may or may not have dachshund lineage-who can tell under all that floor?! Whatever breed he is, this little one is one fabulous dog. He is friendly and house trained. He enjoys walks in peaceful parks but is not a fan of loud noises and cars speeding past. He likes to go and can be an escape artist zipping right past you at the door. Because of this, a fence is required. He is fine with other small dogs but also would be good as a solo canine cause he loves his people. He is not a fan of being left alone so someone who has time to share would be the best. If you are interested in adopting McGuinness, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. McGuinness's adoption fee is 700$. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. McGuinness will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back. Follow us on Instagram , Facebook and Twitter

Story
Lexie Gracie is gentle, genteel, and full of southern charm. This 11-year-old bichon came into rescue after her parent entered assisted living. All indications are that she lived a good life, and she hopes to continue the next phase of her life as a pampered pooch. Lexie Gracie is fully housebroken and walks very nicely on a leash. She enjoys her walks and meeting new friends, but she would also be content to simply have access to the backyard for potty time.  She will let you know when it’s time to go out, and will alert you to meal times too, should you forget.  Lexie does require daily medication for a heart issue, but it doesn’t impact her daily activity level, and she takes her medicine like a champ. Sweet as pie, Lexie Gracie wins hearts wherever she goes—even to the vet and groomer! She is a perfect companion and wants to be by your side.  She’s not a typical cuddle bug, but loves being in close range to her people, preferably touching at all times—whether on the sofa or your bed.  She will do best in a family where someone is home most of the time. Lexie Gracie will make her new family very happy – she can be a solo queen or go into a house with other calm dogs as long as they respect her wishes. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          April 28, 2026, 11:36 am
