PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. 1 year old Spayed Female Lhasa Apso Mix IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Georgia is shy and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she becomes familiar with you, her true personality shines through. Georgia is extremely sweet and loving with those she knows and trusts. Georgia struggles with meeting strangers. She may exhibit signs of discomfort such as growling, barking, or attempting to hide. When unfamiliar visitors come over, she prefers to retreat to her crate for a sense of security. Due to this, Georgia would not be a good fit for a home with frequent visitors. Additionally, Georgia will not do well around small children. If she feels uncomfortable or threatened, she may resort to biting. As a young puppy, she still has plenty of energy and is not considered an ideal "lap dog." She can be mouthy and has a higher energy level. Georgia is already crate trained, and continuing crate training will greatly benefit her. A crate provides her with a safe space and contributes to her overall behavior and development. Although she generally gets along well with most dogs, Georgia's playful nature may not be suitable for a dog with lower energy. She may unintentionally annoy or overwhelm them. However, she would thrive in a home with a social dog who can match her energy level. At our rescue program, the well-being of our dogs is our top priority. We have the support of a wonderful trainer at Mirror Image K9, and we are committed to ensuring Georgia reaches her full potential. As part of the adoption process, potential adopters will be required to attend a training session. This session will provide valuable techniques and insights on how to help Georgia thrive and grow. If you are interested in adopting Georgia, complete the adoption application first. Thank you for considering giving Georgia a loving home. - Ozzie Albies Foundation

Story
Meet Lucy Lou! She is a 5 year old Lhasa Apso (maybe with something else mixed in) who is looking for a forever home. She weighs 19 pounds. She found her way to our county's animal control a few weeks ago and was never claim. Luckily, she was saved and has been in a foster home ever since. She does well with other dogs and we think that she would do well with older kids. She has not been around young kids with us yet. She is still working on housetraining and getting use to the cat. She thinks that chasing the cat is a lot of fun! Lucy Lou is currently taking cytopoint injections for allergies. If you are interested in adopting Lucy Lou, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-7461 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
Meet Marshall!   We always tell people - talk to your dogs, tell them what’s going on. Well there is one thing we don’t want anyone to tell Marshal…his age!! Marshal is a 9ish yr old Bichon mix but he is convinced he’s only 5-6 years old and we are not about to tell him otherwise! He loves to play and is happiest tossing around his toys and then running after them. Marshall gets along great with dogs of all sizes but the jury is still out on cats. He’s currently fostering with very dog savvy cats and has never made any attempt to hurt them but he does like to bark at them so he might be a bit overwhelming for cats who aren’t used to living with dogs.  Interested in sharing in Marshall’s Golden Years?
