Story
Meet Hope, a gentle little soul—an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso with a heart full of quiet sweetness. Hope was originally adopted by her owner a few years ago as a breeder release. She was deeply loved by her owner but unfortunately her owner passed away and now Hope awaits a new forever home. Due to her past as a dog used for breeding, she is a bit shy with people at first and needs time to feel safe, but her love for other dogs shines through right away. Hope is also friendly with cats, making her a perfect fit for a multi pet household. She is making progress with going potty outside, though the big wide world (and even grass!) can still feel a little scary. For now, she uses potty pads indoors and is doing well with them. One thing she is never shy about? Mealtime, she has a great appetite! And bath time? Surprisingly, she enjoyed every minute of being pampered. Being a senior sweetheart, Hope will be getting a dental procedure prior to adoption. Once she’s all healed up she will be ready to find her new forever companion. This lovely girl is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. With kindness, consistency, and maybe a canine (or feline!) friend or two, she is sure to blossom into a devoted companion. If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. Story
Huey came to us in 2017 when a family was moving and couldn’t bring him. He was 2 years old. He is now 11 years old and his birthday is February 10th. Huey loves being with his people and gets along with most anyone. He’s friendly, laid back and loves toys, treats, Cheese, belly rubs, car rides and just lounging around. My husband and I have recently developed some health problems and can no longer care for Huey as we wish and as he deserves. We will provide his favorite treats, toys, food and medicine. He has dry eye and needs eye drops and he takes his apoquel for allergies. We want him to go to a good home where he will be well cared for and loved.

Story
MissCoco is a 6 y/o Lhasa weighing about 25 lbs available for adoption with Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. She seems to be house-trained and LOVES people. MissCoco prefers male dogs and is not a fan of female dogs; she would do best as an only dog. (MissCoco gets along with the 5 other dogs in her foster home as long as they don't attempt to interact with her: live and let live is her motto.) It seems MissCoco might have a bit of wanderlust (or maybe she was simply very lonely living outside) and has a history of going on walkabout. She requires a sturdy fence. MissCoco is good with kids over 10 yrs who are respectful. MissCoco will do best is a calm-ish home with a secure fence. Remember: she will need to be professionally groomed every 2 months and tip your groomer well because she's not a fan. Interested? Submit an app www.pawsitivetailskc.org

Story
🐈 🐱 🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈 🐱 🐈 Sometimes combinations work perfectly together, and nobody knows why 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ Two individuals just mesh and complement each other like potato chips and ice cream (hey, don’t knock it til you try it!). Not saying that one is salty and one is sweet here, but 🥨Danny🍨 and 🍦Pixie🥨 are one of those perfect combos. Who knows why they belong together, but they just do! They have their own distinct personalities, and they’re not necessarily fully opposites, just slightly different flavors of great doggies. Danny is really laid back and has very soulful eyes. Pixie is the life of the party and always looking for hugs and cuddles. Danny doesn’t really play with toys, but Pixie loves them, and her squeaky toy is her favorite. There’s a lot more common ground than you’d think: They both love attention, getting pets and hanging out in your lap. Both pups walk very well on the leash, and a daily walk or backyard time will give them the exercise they need. They also like car rides a lot and are happy to hop in and accompany you on your errands. They are both house trained and crate trained. Pixie will bark at other dogs (and sometimes at the cat), but she does fine with dogs her size. Danny gets along with other dogs for the most part and couldn’t care less about cats. Danny is a 6-year-old Lhasa Apso mix, and Pixie is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu, and they both weigh 12 pounds. They need a secure fence, because Pixie can be a runner, and Danny will follow her lead. They should live in a home with older kids, probably 12 and over. They make each other happy, but they’ll also make their people so very happy. It’s a 🏆🏆 win-win-WIN 🏆🏆 with these two little buddies. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Their adoption fee is $225.
