Let's not forget the cutest husband and wife duo... we pulled them from the shelter with their 3 beautiful baby girls. Thanks to their awesome foster mom, they survived pneumonia and are all doing well now. Papa and Mama Coco were terrific parents, but now it's their turn to enjoy life as a loving couple with a loving forever family.. Papa is about 4 and Mama Coco is about 7. I'm thinking Lhasa mixes. They really love each other, and are very bonded. They love to play with toys , snuggle, but most of all love to be held and petted. Mama is shy, papa is playful. They are very loving once they trust you, but can be nippy with strangers and when there is a lot going on around them they get very stressed. Also Typical to the breed, they are very protective of the people they love. They'd be happiest as only pups. They are fun and loving. Augie, 7 years old, approximately 18 lbs. Augie is slowly coming around after being surrendered to a high kill shelter by his owner, supposedly for biting him when he touched his ear. We noticed that Augie has a terrible ear infection. If he did even bite, it could have been out of pain. People who care take these things into consideration. Augie came to us very fearful and shut down, he is slowly showing signs of feeling safe. You can see it in his face and eyes already, that he is relaxing. Augie is going to need a calm, patient, and loving person who will give him time and space. An adult home is best. Possibly another calm dog who will show Augie that life isn't all bad. Meet Phoenix, an adorable Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso male mix. At 5 years old, Phoenix is being surrendered, through no fault of his own, and is in need of a loving home. He spends much of his time during the day alone, and would absolutely love a home where he can interact with his family, be active, be cuddled, and live his best life. Phoenix is about 21 pounds of cuteness, searching for a committed, loving family. Phoenix sleeps in a crate with the door open. He is pad trained in the home, but will go outside as well. Also, leash and crate trained. He is up to date on vaccines and he is neutered. Pad training is due to Phoenix being alone up to 13 hours per day. Phoenix has interacted well with other dogs since he came into our care. He does great at our adoption events. Phoenix prefers a fenced yard to going on a walk. He is not a match for apartment living. Phoenix would thrive in a home that’s ready to give lots of love and guidance as he continues to learn to interact with people and other animals, all while providing a family with love.
