Story
Blueey is a sweet, shy little boy who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. He may take some time to warm up, but with gentle care and lots of love, he will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. Would do best in a home with another affectionate kitty to show him that humans are safe.🐾💙✨

Story
Meet Plato The Fluffiest Philosopher With Very Strong Opinions Plato has always known exactly who he is. It just took the rest of us a minute to earn his trust. Born in a homeless camp to their resilient mom Era, Plato and his siblings survived a devastating fire that destroyed everything around them. Rescued at just 4 weeks old, still a tiny fluffball with blue eyes and barely coordinated legs, even as a tiny baby, Plato had opinions. He gave us the hardest time during rescue — outsmarting traps, dodging hands, and insisting he was a free spirit who didn’t need anyone. We tried everything. Then Plato discovered the truth: Humans bring treats, wand toys, chin rubs, and cuddles. Game over. Plato may be skeptical about change, but the moment a wand toy appears, it’s like magic. He transforms into an elite toy hunter — leaping, twisting, and showing everyone how it’s done. He’s shockingly athletic and impressively precise, basically a ninja disguised as a cloud. His favorite things include: • Wand toys (his true weakness) • Fluffy balls • Pipe cleaners • Kitty tunnels • Treats (instant friendship contract) Offer him a treat and congratulations — you are now best friends forever. Plato is the fluffiest fluff in the litter — unbelievably soft and made for hugging. Once he trusts you, he loves affection. He purrs when hugged, melts into chin rubs, and will gently tap your shoulder when he wants attention — often while presenting his wand toy like a formal request. He’s affectionate in a thoughtful, intentional way — never pushy, always meaningful. Plato’s journey from cautious survivor to affectionate companion is what makes him so special. He didn’t give his heart easily — but once he did, he gave it fully. Because of Plato is a kitten he must be adopted together with one of his siblings (especially his beloved brother Aristotle, who he adores), or into a home with another young and/or playful cat. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Check out more photos and videos of Plato here: Plato Photo album Plato is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Jan 5 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV, FelV and heartworms. To meet Plato, start by filling out an application here: Adoption application form Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
Meet Mira The Gentle Princess Who Chooses You Forever Mira arrived in this world mostly made of baby fluff and hope, about 90% fluff, 10% kitten, and 100% heart. Born in a homeless camp to their devoted mom Era, Mira and her siblings survived a devastating fire that destroyed everything they knew. Rescued at just 4 weeks old, Mira didn’t fight being saved — she seemed instantly grateful. From the very beginning, she would simply sit in your arms, purring herself to sleep like she already knew she was safe. Personality: Soft, Observant, and Sweetly Loyal Mira has blossomed into a beautiful medium-haired princess, elegant and gentle. She loves being in the middle of the action — not to cause chaos, but to observe everything. Her favorite spots include the center of the room and the top of the kitchen island, where she can watch life unfold like a royal overseeing her kingdom. She follows you from room to room and happily settles into your lap whenever you sit down, content just to be close. Mira is a little skeptical at first — just a tiny baby making sure the world is safe. But once she decides you’re her person, she bonds deeply and forever. She enjoys being picked up after trust is built and will happily melt into your arms. One of her favorite things? Climbing onto your shoulder to join you for the ride, so she can see everything from your point of view. Life is simply better when shared. Mira adores her siblings — especially her sister Miya — and thrives with feline companionship. Though gentle, she is brave once confident and approaches the world with quiet courage. Because Mira is a kitten she must be adopted together with one of her siblings, or into a home with another young and/or playful cat. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Story
I just lost my mother due to cancer. These two babies were here life. They are senior's and I unfortunately can't have pets at my living establishment. They're my sister's and I really don't want to give them up but I can't keep them. My heart breaks even thinking about it. I so love them. They're really good girls, they do love extra rubs and brushing. They slept in the bed with my mom because she loved to cuddle with them. I just want a home with lots of love for them. I really want them to stay together but either way I just want them to live out what ever life they have left to be happy, comfortable. I don't know what to do,I couldn't bring myself to just put them down. So if you have it in your heart too take my sister's into your home I am willing to help you with them.

Story
Roadie is a Maine Coon, approximately 3–4 years old. She came to us from a neighboring shelter after being found taped inside a cardboard box and was in extremely poor condition. She has now been with us for over a year. During that time, we have invested significant resources into medical testing beyond her standard vetting to determine the cause of her severe digestive issues. She experienced persistent leaking diarrhea despite numerous fecal tests, treatments, and attempts at resolution. After trying several prescription and specialty diets, we have finally found a food that successfully keeps her symptoms under control. As long as she eats only this specific food, she does well. However, even one meal of anything different causes the diarrhea to return, and we must start the process over again. In addition, Roadie requires regular professional grooming.Because of these needs, it is essential that Roadie be placed in a home that will strictly follow her prescribed diet, provide veterinary care as needed, and keep up with her grooming. We want to ensure she never has to be returned to the rescue.Since she is a Maine Coon and we want to ensure she is being adopted into a home that will follow what she needs, we have her adoption fee set at $1000. She would be best in a home with no other animals or even small children who may leave food unattended, just because of the issues that eating anything besides her food will cause diarrhea. Obviously she must be an indoor only cat.We understand this is a lot to ask of an adopter, but we know the right family is out there for her. If you feel you are able to meet these requirements, we would be happy to review an adoption application and then set up a time for you to meet her. We have received many inquiries since her photo was posted, but our priority is finding the best possible home for Roadie. Here is the link to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/kVH3cafPYrQrJYQ58

Story
My oldest daughter left him with me while she was looking for a new place to live. And then she moved out of the country leaving him and her other cats behind. I have my own animals and cannot afford the cats she left. He is a male about a year old, and he does have fleas. He has been around my children, dogs and other cats. He is very sweet and will even let you give him belly rubs. (At least he does for us.) He is dominate though, he often would grab one of the other male cats and tower of him. (I added the picture for reference) But he has never been aggressive, never been in a fight with the other animals. Very playful. I wish we could keep him but I have my own animals.
