Story
'Courtesy Post' This is not a Street Paws animal, but we are assisting with placing a pet.  Meet Eloise (Elton)! Eloise is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix with striking green eyes and the most fabulous whiskers you’ve ever seen! This expressive girl is quite the chatterbox — she loves to “talk” and will happily carry on a full conversation if you’re willing to listen. She’s a social butterfly who enjoys being around her people, but she prefers affection on her terms. When she’s in the mood, she’ll soak up the love and attention — and when she’s feeling playful, she may give gentle play bites to keep things fun. Eloise would do best as the only cat in the home or with female feline companions. With the right match, she’ll be a loyal, entertaining, and affectionate queen of her castle. Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $150 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  February 19, 2026, 8:46 pm

Story
Meet Hiccup! I adopted him from Furrkids about 4 years ago. Hiccup is a tripod, lost one of his back legs well before I adopted him and the cause is unknown. He is super social and out going. He enjoys exploring on a lease, going to daycare and boarding, and get along great with most dogs he’s met. (Doesn’t like cats) He is a very confident cat and doesn’t take well to being left home along like most cats. He thinks himself more similar to a small dog in many ways, always in a lap and begging for attention. I’m looking to rehome him due to my own health concerns. I’m mildly allergic to cats and starting to expand my family, and unfortunately we don’t have the time or energy to give him the attention and love he needs. Please message me if your interested in more information🫶

Story
Roadie is a Maine Coon, approximately 3–4 years old. She came to us from a neighboring shelter after being found taped inside a cardboard box and was in extremely poor condition. She has now been with us for over a year. During that time, we have invested significant resources into medical testing beyond her standard vetting to determine the cause of her severe digestive issues. She experienced persistent leaking diarrhea despite numerous fecal tests, treatments, and attempts at resolution. After trying several prescription and specialty diets, we have finally found a food that successfully keeps her symptoms under control. As long as she eats only this specific food, she does well. However, even one meal of anything different causes the diarrhea to return, and we must start the process over again. In addition, Roadie requires regular professional grooming.Because of these needs, it is essential that Roadie be placed in a home that will strictly follow her prescribed diet, provide veterinary care as needed, and keep up with her grooming. We want to ensure she never has to be returned to the rescue.Since she is a Maine Coon and we want to ensure she is being adopted into a home that will follow what she needs, we have her adoption fee set at $1000. She would be best in a home with no other animals or even small children who may leave food unattended, just because of the issues that eating anything besides her food will cause diarrhea. Obviously she must be an indoor only cat.We understand this is a lot to ask of an adopter, but we know the right family is out there for her. If you feel you are able to meet these requirements, we would be happy to review an adoption application and then set up a time for you to meet her. We have received many inquiries since her photo was posted, but our priority is finding the best possible home for Roadie. Here is the link to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/kVH3cafPYrQrJYQ58

Story
Rocky is a big, beautiful Maine Coon boy. He spent his entire life with his beloved owner until her passing late last year, and the transition to a new foster home took time. Once Rocky felt safe, his true personality blossomed—he is now a deeply affectionate companion who loves attention and connection. One of Rocky’s favorite things is having his magnificent coat brushed. He purrs happily throughout, clearly enjoying the care and closeness. He would thrive in a calm home without dogs, as he is uneasy around them and prefers a peaceful environment. Rocky eats a prescription diet of both wet and dry food, which he enjoys, and his needs are well established. Gentle, loving, and full of charm, Rocky is everything one could hope for in a senior pet—a loyal companion ready to share quiet moments and affection with his forever person. Story
Meet Mira The Gentle Princess Who Chooses You Forever Mira arrived in this world mostly made of baby fluff and hope, about 90% fluff, 10% kitten, and 100% heart. Born in a homeless camp to their devoted mom Era, Mira and her siblings survived a devastating fire that destroyed everything they knew. Rescued at just 4 weeks old, Mira didn’t fight being saved — she seemed instantly grateful. From the very beginning, she would simply sit in your arms, purring herself to sleep like she already knew she was safe. Personality: Soft, Observant, and Sweetly Loyal Mira has blossomed into a beautiful medium-haired princess, elegant and gentle. She loves being in the middle of the action — not to cause chaos, but to observe everything. Her favorite spots include the center of the room and the top of the kitchen island, where she can watch life unfold like a royal overseeing her kingdom. She follows you from room to room and happily settles into your lap whenever you sit down, content just to be close. Mira is a little skeptical at first — just a tiny baby making sure the world is safe. But once she decides you’re her person, she bonds deeply and forever. She enjoys being picked up after trust is built and will happily melt into your arms. One of her favorite things? Climbing onto your shoulder to join you for the ride, so she can see everything from your point of view. Life is simply better when shared. Mira adores her siblings — especially her sister Miya — and thrives with feline companionship. Though gentle, she is brave once confident and approaches the world with quiet courage. Because Mira is a kitten she must be adopted together with one of her siblings, or into a home with another young and/or playful cat. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Check out more photos and videos of Mira here: Mira Photo album Mira is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Jan 5 2025 and fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. She tested negative for FIV, Felv and heartworms. To meet Mira, start by filling out an application here: Adoption application form Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org
