Story
Sebastian is a fluffy orange boy born around July 2021 and rescued from a local hoarding case. Despite his difficult start, he has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate kitty who just needs a little time and patience to show his true sweetness. Sebastian is a mellow, soft‑hearted cat who prefers to stay tucked under cover until he hears your voice. Call him out, and he’ll emerge for pets, leaning into your hand and melting for ear scratches. He’s still building confidence, but once he feels safe, his affectionate nature shines. As he continues to gain weight, he will grow into a very large, impressive kitty, and his beautiful fluffy coat will require regular brushing to keep him comfortable and mat‑free. Sebastian did arrive with some mats which did have to be shaved. However his fur will grow back soon. Sebastian is extremely close with Sherlock, another cat from the same hoarding case. They groom each other, relax together, and offer each other comfort. Both were wonderfully easygoing when the foster's daughter introduced herself—quick to make new friends and gentle in their interactions. While Sebastian is the more hesitant of the two, he is still very loving and enjoys companionship. He gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a calm, patient home. Sebastian would love to be adopted with Sherlock, but he could also join a home with another friendly cat—slow introductions recommended. Sebastian is neutered, current on vaccines, FELV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This sweet, fluffy boy is ready for a peaceful, loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the comfort of gentle affection and feline companionship.

Story
Sherlock is a tabby Maine Coon mix born around January 2025 and rescued from a local hoarding case. He has blossomed into a wonderfully curious, social, and affectionate young cat who brings energy and charm into every room he explores. Sherlock is a natural adventurer — he loves to explore the house, investigate new spaces, and check out whatever you’re doing. He’s vocal and expressive, offering plenty of cheerful meows as he moves around. He’s also very food‑motivated, happily jumping and climbing all over the cat tower if he thinks treats might be involved. His playful energy makes him a fun, engaging companion. Despite his lively personality, Sherlock is incredibly sweet and easy to bond with. When your daughter introduced herself, he was quick to make friends, interacting confidently and affectionately. He enjoys human attention and will readily seek out pets and companionship. Sherlock is also very close with Sebastian, another cat from the same hoarding case. They groom each other, relax together, and provide comfort and companionship. Sherlock’s confidence helps Sebastian feel secure, and their bond is truly special. Sherlock is good with other cats and would thrive in a home with feline companionship. He would love to be adopted with Sebastian, but he could also join a home with another friendly cat — slow introductions recommended. Sherlock is neutered, current on vaccines, FELV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This curious, affectionate, and social boy will make an amazing addition to any household. Sherlock is a wonderful family cat who brings joy, personality, and companionship wherever he goes. *** PLEASE NOTE*** 4Paws will only consider local adoptions (Northern VA / DC / MD metropolitan area) 4Paws does not adopt to students

Story
Scotty is a Maine Coon mix who was rescued from a local hoarding situation. This big, friendly boy is a super chill dude! Scotty is a great balance of playful and affectionate -- he loves to chase and bat toys around on the floor, but also hop up onto the couch and sit with his foster parent. Personal space does not exist to Scotty, and he loves to follow his foster parent everywhere and walk between her legs, so watch out for a tripping hazard! Scotty is a resilient and confident cat who easily adapted to a new environment. He currently lives with Sammy, and the two kitties like to sit together, headbutt, and groom each other. Both can also be easily picked up and handled. Given his easy-going personality, Scotty would most likely do well with cats, dogs, and kids after an initial integration period. If you're looking for a loving, easy-going pal, Scotty is your cat! *** PLEASE NOTE*** 4Paws will only consider local adoptions (Northern VA / DC / MD metropolitan area). 4Paws does not adopt to students.

Story
Meet Candy – A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love  Beautiful Candy is a stunning 4-year-old Maine Coon mix who has already overcome more than most cats ever should. Originally from Kuwait, Candy was rescued from the streets after she was found struggling desperately to breathe. Her rescuers feared she might not survive. Candy was rushed to the veterinarian, where she spent an extended time in an oxygen cage. The vets discovered a large amount of fluid in her chest and, after testing, diagnosed her with chylothorax, a rare and challenging condition. Candy underwent surgery and, thankfully, made an incredible recovery! Today, she is doing well and is ready to leave her temporary home behind and find the loving family she's been waiting for. Because of her medical history, Candy does need a special low-fat diet, such as Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat or another veterinarian-approved equivalent. Her family will need to continue this diet to help support her health—but Candy is worth every bit of extra care. And despite everything she's endured, Candy hasn't lost her sweetness. She is loving, gentle, and very friendly with other cats. One of her favorite things is making biscuits on her soft blanket, a precious little reminder of just how happy and secure she feels when she's comfortable. Candy is spayed and microchipped and ready for a forever home. She has already fought incredibly hard for her second chance. Now she needs someone who will give her what she has been missing all along: a safe home, loving family, good care, and a soft place to make biscuits. Candy survived the streets, a frightening medical crisis, and major surgery. Now she deserves the happily-ever-after she fought so hard to reach. Could you be her forever family?  Adoption fee $200, includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Charlie! ❤️ A large, gorgeous Maine Coon mix tuxedo tabby with an enormous personality and an even bigger heart. He is exceptionally snuggly, affectionate, and vocal. One of his favorite things is to rear up on his hind legs and lean into people for a full-body snuggle. He loves pets, attention, and kitty Squeeze Ups, and he'll happily keep you company and tell you all about his day. Charlie needs to be the only cat in his home. This is the most important thing to know about him, and finding the right home where he can be the one-and-only will help him truly thrive. Charlie loves going outside and is an excellent bug and mouse catcher. He enjoys having a scratcher available and generally leaves the furniture alone when he does. He's curious about houseplants but doesn't tend to eat them. Charlie is a truly wonderful cat—loving, funny, handsome, chatty, and incredibly affectionate. He deserves a home where he can be someone's beloved companion and undisputed king of the castle.
