Story
https://foha.org/pet/betteboo2025 🌟 Meet Bette Boo! I’m a big-hearted, big-voiced, and big-fluff kinda gal. I used to sleep curled up beside my human dad every night, and I loved him with my whole soul. After he passed away, I lost more than a home—I lost my person. But I know that love is still out there, and I can’t wait to find it again. I was named after a wonderfully chatty friend of the family—and let me tell you, I live up to the name. I chirp, meow, and monologue with charm! I’ve always been the queen of my castle, so I’d prefer a home where I can reign as your one-and-only. Trust me, I have enough love and purrs for two lifetimes. Since I’m over 8 years old and my love is priceless, my adoption fee has been waived. 🐾 A Few of My Favorite Things: -Telling you about my day -Soft, cozy beds -Curling up for naps -Window-watching like it’s my job -Being doted on like the royalty I am 🏡 What I’m Looking For: -Other cats? Probably not my vibe. But if you already have a cat, FOHA offers foster-to-adopt so we can see how it goes! -Dogs? TBD — FOHA can help test things out if you’ve got one at home. -Kids? I’d love a calm home where I can form a strong bond with my person. -Litter box habits? Spotless! I always use my box like the polite lady I am. 💛 Ready to fall in love? Let FOHA know you’d like to meet me and start our next chapter together. 📋 FOHA Adoption Policies and Process: https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ 💰 ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies and FVRCP/distemper), diagnostic testing (including FIV/FeLV), any additional medical care recommended by our vet, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick prevention, and 1-month access to Petcademy for post-adoption support.

Story
If you’re looking for the perfect blend of spunk and sweetness in a furry friend, then Snickers is the cat for you! This handsome boy started out his life on the streets and was originally released after being TNR’d (hence his tipped ear!). But after rescue folks noticed how friendly he was with people, rubbing legs and demanding pets constantly, he was brought right back inside to begin the good life as an indoor cat and is now ready to find his forever home. Despite being a big and regal looking fella, he’s got the tiniest, most high-pitched little meow! He’s also a biscuit making champion, kneading and purring as soon as you start to pet him. An especially cute trait of his is that he ADORES being held and carried around, purring and snuggling all the while. When not being held like a baby, he’ll curl up right next to you or even worm his way onto your lap, always wanting to sit near you. When he’s ready to play, he goes crazy for a ribbon/string on a stick toy (check out the video of him in action!) Though he’s still learning the ropes of indoor living, he’s a real quick learner and is taking to it like a champ, well on his way to becoming the perfect lap cat. He is so content to nap, chill out, or watch the world go by from a comfy windowsill, hardly ever behaving mischievously when left unattended. He mastered the litter box in no time flat and he loves his cat tree’s scratching posts. He can get a bit excited or easily overstimulated when being pet, and he tends to nip or swipe his paws at your hands very suddenly (his foster parents are trying to help him break this habit, he has learned to be gentler and he never bites hard or uses his claws) so he would NOT be the best fit for a first time cat owner or in a household with younger children. We don’t know how well he’d handle dogs, but because he was a former outdoor colony cat, he would likely do okay in a home with other cats if given a proper introduction. However, he’s also very happy to be the one and only pet of the house (he definitely enjoys being the center of attention!).  Adoption fee: $200, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Puff is a gorgeous maine coon mix 8-month-old kitten who is as sweet as can be but a bit shy. He loves to be petted and stroked under the chin but needs someone who is patient as he gets to know you. He has luxurious long hair and gives the nicest purr when he receives love. He does well with other cats and would want a companion but one that is not too playful. A very sweet and gentle boy! Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Marley is the ultimate lap cat who lives for cuddles and companionship. Whether you’re working, reading, or relaxing, he’ll be right there, purring away and soaking up every bit of affection. He hasn’t met dogs before, but his confident, easygoing nature suggests he could do just fine with a calm, cat-friendly pup after proper introductions. The same goes for gentle kids who know how to show love and respect to a furry friend. Marley may have a few years under his belt, but don’t let that fool you — this golden boy has plenty of love, life, and head bumps left to give. Story
Meet Foxy! 🦊😼 Foxy has the world’s most iconic resting grumpy face. He may look serious in photos, but don’t be fooled: underneath that expression is a total sweetheart with a heart of gold. Foxy is about 7 years old and spent much of his early life surviving outdoors. Those days are behind him now, and he has fully embraced the indoor life. Comfort, affection, and quality lap time are his new priorities — and he excels at all three! Once Foxy decides you’re safe (which usually takes less than a minute), he becomes an affectionate, people-loving companion who enjoys headbutts, attention, and being close to his humans. Despite his tough beginnings, Foxy is a social butterfly with other cats. He gets along well with friendly felines and would truly thrive in a home with another cat (or two!) to keep him company. He may also do well with a cat-savvy dog. While he hasn’t been tested with children, his gentle and affectionate nature suggests he could be a wonderful fit with respectful kids. Foxy is still discovering the joys of playtime and is beginning to show his playful side — it’s been a delight to watch his personality continue to bloom in foster care. One small but important note: Foxy has a chicken allergy and does great on a chicken-free diet. Easy fix, and he’s feeling fantastic! Foxy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and he’s ready to start his next chapter in a loving home. If you’re looking for a charming, affectionate cat with loads of personality (and an unforgettable face), Foxy might just be your perfect match. 🧡 Apply today and come meet Foxy — he’s ready to win your heart!
