Story
Byanca is a 12 year old, 8-9 pound Maltese blend who joined us recently from a county facility. She is the life of the party and wants to meet everyone! She is very easy to handle, and is generous with kisses and snuggles. She will cuddle on the couch all day, if you'll allow her! She enjoys being picked up, and is not reactive around other dogs. She is living in one of our amazing foster homes. If you would like to meet Byanca, please email info@azfriends.orgNo appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Chesty was raised with an older couple. We believe he is anywhere between 7-10 years old. One of his owners passed away 2 years ago and now the 2nd owner sadly is having to move into a group home. Chesty is very loyal and a protective conpanion. I do believe he is slightly hearing impaired. Unfortunately, he is not well potty trained but with the right household and owner he can be. Once he gets to know you he loves to be pet but not held and carried from my observation. This too can change because he commonly sat in my mother inlaws lap but she was unable to pet him due to her many ailments. It is unfortunate we need to move quickly to place him in a loving home. We have no other options at this time :( Thank you for your consideration.

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogImportant Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Misty, and I am a beautiful Maltipoo was born on 12/23/19, and I weigh 6.5 pounds. I am scared of people right now and will need a quiet/patient home with a socialized dog to help me learn all about this big, new world.  If you have been waiting for a small little lady, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Story
We discovered Tofu on the streets in 2022 and welcomed her into our family with open arms. Despite her visual impairment, Tofu's gentle nature and unwavering happiness have illuminated our lives. She quickly adapted to her surroundings, learning to navigate our home and even enjoying outdoor adventures. Tofu's resilient spirit and love for life have been evident in every wag of her tail and joyful bark. However, as our family has grown and our responsibilities have multiplied, we regretfully realize that we can no longer provide Tofu with the attention and companionship she deserves. Despite her best efforts, Tofu has struggled to forge strong bonds with our other dogs, and we believe she would thrive in a home where she can receive undivided attention and love. Tofu is a loyal and affectionate companion, always eager to shower her humans with love and affection. She is spayed, microchipped, and has received regular veterinary care, including dental cleaning.
