Story
Baby came to us from Yuma with a (benign) mass that we had removed and she also got a dental at the same time. She is also current on vaccines and spayed. Baby is a sweet girl but fairly bossy and opinionated so no apartments/condos for this little lady! Baby is mostly housebroken as long as she gets regular opportunities to get out to potty. She came into the shelter in absolutely horrible condition so will need an adopter committed to getting her groomed regularly. We are not sure if Baby is leash trained but she only weighs 5.5 lbs so is the perfect "purse dog" Baby is estimated at 5 years old and does fine with both dogs and cats. Food is the way to this little gals heart so could definitely be a lively restaurant companion (LOL)! She has nice house manners (does not get into things she shouldn't). Pico came to us originally from the Arizona Humane Society and was adopted but sadly she passed recently so he needs to find another home (again). He is doing amazing healthwise and is a very resilient guy and is back with his original foster family. Pico is sweet, loving, playful, super tolerant of other dogs (even quirky ones) and also has lived with a cat. He is housebroken, leash trained and an all around great catch. Pico is 6 - 7 years old and around 21 lbs now. He is neutered, current on vaccines and chipped. Story
Chesty was raised with an older couple. We believe he is anywhere between 7-10 years old. One of his owners passed away 2 years ago and now the 2nd owner sadly is having to move into a group home. Chesty is very loyal and a protective conpanion. I do believe he is slightly hearing impaired. Unfortunately, he is not well potty trained but with the right household and owner he can be. Once he gets to know you he loves to be pet but not held and carried from my observation. This too can change because he commonly sat in my mother inlaws lap but she was unable to pet him due to her many ailments. It is unfortunate we need to move quickly to place him in a loving home. We have no other options at this time :( Thank you for your consideration.

If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi!
