Meet Diego & Margie — A Bond That Shouldn’t Be Broken Diego and Margie are a special pair of senior pups who have been through a lot together, and now they’re looking for a home where they can spend their golden years side by side. Diego is 10 years old, and Margie is approximately 15. Margie also has some vision impairment, so having Diego by her side is especially important. These two are bonded and need to be adopted together. We may not know much about their past, but we do know one thing for certain: they have each other, and that relationship matters. They came to Satchel’s Last Resort from Animal Services, and unfortunately, we don’t have much of a backstory on them. Sometimes the dogs who need us most come with more questions than answers. What we can give Diego and Margie now is the chance to finally have a safe, loving home where they can relax, be spoiled, and enjoy their retirement together. They aren’t looking for a family to take them on a grand adventure—they’re looking for someone who understands the beauty of senior dogs and the special bond between two dogs who have been there for each other. Diego and Margie are a package deal. They’ve made it this far together, and we’re determined to help them find a home where they can stay together for the rest of their lives.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Morty is the sweetest boy! He loves to cuddle, but is also a playful puppy. He is 12 weeks old. There are no known health issues. He needs work on house training. Adoption fee is 950.00. Located in the south. Transport is available to the NE. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. Joy is a breeder discard. She’s a Maltese, needs TLC. Approximately 6 years old. She’s healthy, but needs a full dental cleaning with several extractions and spay surgery. Adoption fee will be determined as donations and funding will be needed to pay for the dental. But she’s a lover, k very sweet and the perfect lap dog. Loves other dogs as well.
