Muffin is a 6 to 7-year-old Maltese mix weighing 12 pounds, and this little sweetheart knows exactly what she wants out of life. Honestly, it isn't complicated. Muffin wants company. She came to Canine Castaways with Charlie, who may possibly be her son, and one thing has become very clear: Muffin does not enjoy being an only dog or being alone in general. She's happiest when she has someone nearby, whether that's another dog or, even better, a person whose lap happens to be available. Because Muffin is a lap dog through and through. Toys? She can take them or leave them. Playing? She'll let the youngsters handle that. Curling up with her person and keeping them company? Now you're speaking Muffins language. Muffin can become vocal when she's left alone in a crate, so her ideal home will be one where she has plenty of companionship. Shed especially appreciate having another friendly dog around so she doesn't have to feel like she's on her own. When it comes to grooming, Muffin seems perfectly content to be brushed. Nail trims, however, are not on her list of approved activities, so shell need someone willing to work patiently with her on that particular bit of maintenance. Muffin has just one eye, and unfortunately we don't know what happened to the other one. It doesn't seem to bother her or keep her from enjoying life. She also has a few fatty lipomas, which are benign and aren't currently causing her any problems. At this stage of life, Muffin isn't looking for nonstop entertainment or a packed social calendar. She's looking for something much better. A comfortable home. A canine companion. A favorite person. And, most importantly, a lap with her name on it. If you're looking for a sweet little companion who would much rather be with you than anywhere else, Muffin may be exactly who youve been waiting for.
