Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dino is a lovable 4-year-old Maltese mix (best guess on age and breed since he was found as a stray). He weighs around 15 pounds. Small, scruffy, and impossible to resist, Dino is the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something a little sweeter. With his soft, cream-colored coat, floppy ears, and curious eyes, he looks like a living teddy bear… but with a playful spark that keeps life fun. Dino is the definition of “chill”—he’ll happily snooze in his dog bed or curl up next to you, content to simply be close. But the minute you get up he gets up too! Be ready for a loyal shadow, because Dino sticks right by your side wherever you go—even to the bathroom (you’ll never be alone again)! If you work from home, Dino makes the perfect office buddy. He loves settling at the bottom of your computer chair during working hours. And if other family members are home, he will take turns hanging out with each of them. Dino enjoys walks, exploring scents, and marking his territory (typical male dog). He knows how to walk on the leash – but is a bit cautious where he is going having lived as a stray for a while. Once Dino gets onto a lap he melts in the person’s arms. He enjoys being petted closing his eyes imagining his dream coming true. He prefers to sleep in a human bed so he can stay close. Dino’s desire for companionship makes him a cuddle buddy who will always want to be near his favorite humans. When visitors arrive, Dino considers himself the greeting committee and then wants to follow the new person around to be part of the action. Dino loves all people and enjoys laying at the feet or beside ones that are sitting down. He will be calm since the person is calm. His favorite room in the house is the kitchen standing next to the person preparing a meal. Dino thinks he is “helping” by cleaning up the floor when needed. Car rides excite Dino as he jumps in the vehicle making himself comfortable in the passenger seat saying, “take me somewhere fun”. Dino gets along with other dogs but prefers human companionship more. He will be comfortable living as an only dog or with dog siblings. According to his foster family, Dino would thrive in any household as long as he still receives plenty of attention. Dino is potty trained and enjoys going potties outside. He has had a couple of accidents inside the foster house because of learning the new routine. He does not like being in a crate. The fosters concluded since he is four years old his previous house must have not needed to keep him in one so are recommending the adopter not have plans to use a crate for him because it makes him anxious and wondering why he is in one. More than anything, Dino wants to be close to his humans. While he may whine initially when his people leave, he quickly settles down and patiently waits for their return. Dino is ready to find his forever home—the kind where he can feel safe, loved, and maybe a little spoiled (he won’t complain!). If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soft coat and an even softer heart, Dino might be your perfect match. Important Note – 4LD would like Dino placed in his permanent home as soon as possible since he has lived as a stray and spent two weeks in a shelter. Dino is up to date on his vaccinations but still needs to be neutered, which the adopter will assist with at our vet's office (Animal Rescue Coalition in Sarasota). The neuter surgery is included in the adoption fee that is paid when adopting him. 4LD is asking the adopter take Dino there for the surgery, care for him during the recovery, and then take him back for his stitch removal. This is a benefit for Dino because he will have adjusted to his new permanent home and as he recovers he will be in those familiar surroundings. Dino’s adoption fee is $620. This dog comes microchipped, up to date on all necessary vaccines/rabies shots, heartworm tested, and dewormed. He still needs to be neutered which is already included in this fee. He is currently being fostered in the Plant City/Valrico area. The average lifespan for this small breed is 16 years. Therefore, Dinos’ adopter will need to be prepared to care for him for around 12 more years so he will not have to move to a different home again. ----------------- ***We are a foster-based rescue with no shelter or facility to view our dogs, and our address is a mailing address only. Please be patient as we are an all-volunteer rescue team, and our rescue dogs are in various loving foster homes throughout West-Central Florida. As a general rule we try to limit our adoptions to within the state of FL. If interested in one of our dogs, please fill out an application at www.4luckydogs.org, and we will contact you by phone/text if we feel your application is the best fit out of the ones received.***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2026, 8:48 am

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi… I’m Meemaw 🐾🤍 I’m a 12-year-old Maltese Poodle mix with the gentlest soul and the sweetest heart 🥺 I may be a senior girl, and yes—I’m blind—but don’t let that fool you. Once I learn my surroundings, I get around just beautifully and settle right in like I’ve always been there 💕 I’m a quiet, loving little lady who just wants to be close to my person. I love soft snuggles, cozy naps, and being near the humans I trust most. I’m incredibly sweet, totally house trained, and as easygoing as they come. I don’t bark, I don’t bite, and I’m not destructive—I’m just a soft, gentle little companion looking for a peaceful place to be loved. ✨ My ideal home: • A calm, quiet home with a gentle routine • Someone home most of the time (retired would be perfect) • A small family or one devoted person to love • A cozy home where I can stay close to my human • A soft place to nap and lots of cuddles 🤍 Because I’m blind, I do best in a calm environment where furniture stays predictable and my routine stays consistent. Once I know the layout, I move around confidently and happily. I’m gentle, affectionate, and happiest when I’m curled up beside someone who loves me. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving little shadow with the sweetest heart and the softest soul… I’m your gal 🐾✨ Adoption FEE: $150, which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. Story
Hi . . . My name is Daisy and I am a sweet senior gal who is 10 years old.  I’m a tiny Maltese/Poodle blend girl weighing just 7 lbs. I am vision impaired, but I don’t let that stop me from exploring .  I truly appreciate my freedom, affection and care and would love to be the princess in my forever home. Favorite Things: Daisy LOVES her food and loves soaking up attention.  Toys and playing are not really her thing, but exploring her surroundings is high on her list of favorite things. She also loves being around her person and will sit next to them as much as possible (and extra close in bed at night). Training & Manners:  Daisy is working on her house training and will need to be taken outside frequently.  Due to her vision, she doesn’t do well on a leash so will need more practice with leash walking.  She has good basic manners and is highly food motivated.  She is verbal when she wants food but is otherwise quiet. Health and Care: Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is on daily drops for dry eyes and takes her monthly preventatives for fleas and heartworm.  She will likely require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her looking and feeling her best. Other Animals:  Daisy has experience with other small dogs and cats.  Children: This gentle, curious gal would do best in a home with respectful teens.    Ideal Home: Daisy would do well in an apartment, condo or single-family home.  Her “dream” home would be a house without steps (although she is tiny enough to carry) and no pool (for safety reasons with her vision impairment).  A fenced yard would keep her safe and give her room for her adventurous explorations. She has free rein of her foster home and can be left for several hours without issues. She sleeps in the “people bed” at night and is happy to cozy up to her person. Overall: Daisy is a great and loyal companion asking only for food, love and attention. Could Daisy be the one for you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $200.   ##2667454##
