Story
Courtesy Post MEET SAINT 1½ years old • Maltese • 5 lbs • Spayed This tiny little girl traveled all the way from Korea and is now ready for the most important part of her journey: finding her forever family. ❤️ Saint is just 5 pounds of sweetness, personality and fluff. She absolutely loves being close to her person, cuddling in your lap, going for car rides and tagging along on adventures. At only five pounds, she’s the perfect little portable companion and would love a family who wants their dog to truly be part of their everyday life. Saint does get along with other dogs, but she has one funny little opinion about sharing: when she’s curled up in her person’s lap, she’d really prefer that lap to remain exclusively hers. ❤️ Because she bonds so closely with her people, she could be very happy as an only dog where she gets to soak up all the attention, or with another compatible dog in a home that understands her tiny diva tendencies. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and professionally groomed, and she’s ready to begin her happily ever after. She is looking for a loving, committed home that understands adopting a dog means forever. Saint has already traveled a very long way. Her next move should be her last. Serious inquiries are welcome by private message. Please tell us a little about yourself, your household, current pets and the home you envision for Saint through our application process. Saint’s adoption fee reflects the significant expenses associated with bringing her safely from Korea to the United States and preparing her for her forever home. Her adoption fee helps cover her international transport, spay, microchip, vaccinations, extensive veterinary examination and professional grooming. Adoption fee and additional details will be discussed with approved applicants. Our priority is finding Saint the loving, committed forever home she deserves. ❤️September 15, 2026, 9:55 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Sassy. That's a pretty funny name because, for the first five months of my life, I didn't have much to be sassy about. I was born at a breeding kennel, where life was very different from what a puppy should know. There weren't bedtime snuggles or family movie nights. No one tossed me a squeaky toy just to watch me play. I had never discovered that people could love a puppy simply because she existed. Then one day, everything changed. The breeder decided to surrender me to Max's Ark Rescue. I didn't know it then, but that day was the beginning of my real life. When I arrived, everyone was so kind. They spoke softly to me, gave me yummy food, made sure I was healthy, and showed me that gentle hands were nothing to fear. Every day, I grew a little braver. And that's when my personality started to shine. Turns out...I really am a little sassy! I love exploring every inch of the world around me. If there's a new toy, I'll find it. If there's a treat, I'll politely remind you that I deserve one. I make friends wherever I go—with dogs, with cats, and especially with people who smile at me. I'm curious, clever, playful, and always ready for my next adventure. I have a big personality packed into one tiny Maltese body, and I'm learning that life can be exciting instead of scary. There are still things I haven't experienced yet. I'll need a family that understands puppies like me sometimes need a little extra patience while we learn what it means to be someone's beloved companion. I wasn't raised in a home, so every day brings something new—and I think that's pretty exciting. The people at Max's Ark keep telling me that somewhere, there's a family waiting for a little white puppy with bright eyes, a joyful spirit, and a heart that's ready to love with everything she's got. Maybe that's you. If you've been looking for a best friend who will fill your home with laughter, adventures, and unconditional love, I promise I'll do my very best to make every day brighter. After all... My story didn't start with a family. But I'm hoping it ends with one. Love, Sassy 🤍 Serious Adopters from Southern Lee County (Estero Area) and Collier County only. We are a volunteer organization..No small children in the house is a must.
