Chai baby!!! (oops is that Ciao baby???) Ok, well, if you like tea then I am your girl! It could be Italian tea (do Italian's even drink tea?? :) I am Chai, and I am looking for the favorite family waiting for me!! I was found wandering in a neighborhood, with a bad eye :( And that was my lucky day!! I was saved by a nice lady and her family and they are fostering me! So you may notice that I had surgery and my bad eye was removed.... i will make an EXCELLENT PIrAte for Halloween!! My foster family loves me, I am great with their children, cats and other dogs... I am almost completely potty trained and I am kind of a silly girl. I am about 13# full grown and cute as a button! I love to beg, stand on my back legs and my feet begging for you to ...1) pick me up or 2) feed me, or 3) cuddle with me! ADOPT ME SOON! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Ricky and Lexi, our bonded pair!Ricky and Lexi were owner surrenders to no fault of their own. They have been depending on each other for a long time, so they will need to be adopted as a pair Lexi is a silky-haired terrier mix, with a bit more of a friendly nature, while Ricky is a Maltese mix that is a little more shy and cautious when meeting new people. Ricky and Lexi are starting to learn that making friends doesn`t have to be hard, but Ricky may let out a growl at first when being introduced to someone new. With patience and gentle handling, both will slowly start to grow more confidence and be more playful.Ricky and Lexi have not had the opportunity to meet with another dog since being at the rescue, so they would love to have slow, proper introductions to other dogs to make sure that they will be a good match. As for cats, we are unaware of their reactions to them. Given that Ricky is still needing some time to warm up to new people, a home with older children or no children may be best for them. They would love to find a home that would be ready to continue working on consistent routines with them, as they are not yet potty trained and currently rely on potty pads. They are currently working on being leashed to go outside to potty, but it is still a work in progress. Because they are still learning, they would love to have a home with a fenced yard where they can explore safely, but it is not required at this time. Ricky and Lexi can be quite vocal, so shared walls would not be the best fit for them.If you are looking for a pair of furry friends that need someone to trust and work at their pace, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
