QUICK FACTS Name: Kkaedol Age: 8 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltese Color: White Weight: 3 kg / 6.6 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I once had a forever home and a caretaker who loved and cared for me. Unfortunately, my caretaker’s health suddenly declined, and they could no longer give me the care and attention I deserved. Wanting the best for me, the difficult decision was made to find me a new loving home. Although saying goodbye to the life I knew wasn’t easy, I’m ready to begin a new chapter. I already know how wonderful it feels to be part of a family, and now I’m hoping to find another special person who will welcome me into their heart and give me a safe, loving home for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues I have a slightly longer tongue, so you may catch it adorably peeking out from time to time! It doesn’t cause me any discomfort or affect my daily life in any way. It’s simply one of my cute little features that makes me uniquely me.   MY PERSONALITY My previous family loved me and truly wanted the best for me. Unfortunately, when my caretaker’s health significantly declined, they had to make the difficult decision to find me a new home where I could continue receiving all the love and care I deserve. Having my whole world suddenly change has been a big adjustment, but I’m handling it beautifully. I’m a healthy, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people, and even in a completely new environment, I happily follow everyone around looking for pets, attention, and companionship. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto one of the staff members’ backs because apparently I decided I deserved a piggyback ride! I may be starting over, but my loving and trusting personality hasn’t changed. I already know what it means to be part of a family, and I’m ready to find someone special to share that love with again.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and love greeting everyone I meet! I happily soak up pets, affection, and attention and am always excited to make a new human friend. I’m comfortable being picked up and held, and once I feel at ease with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly for some extra love and belly rubs. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs and making friends, but I’m definitely more of a people’s pup at heart! I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play and am perfectly happy doing my own thing. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I don’t currently show signs of separation anxiety, but because I’m such a people oriented boy who forms strong bonds, I may become deeply attached to my forever family. Continuing to encourage healthy independence from the beginning will help me feel secure and confident even when my favourite people aren’t right beside me. I’m also a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. Despite all the recent changes in my life, I’m adjusting beautifully and showing everyone what a sweet and adaptable companion I can be.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy who simply loves being around people. Even though my whole world has recently changed, I’ve handled everything with such a gentle and trusting heart. I happily follow people around, seek out pets and affection, and just want to be included in whatever my humans are doing. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto a staff member’s back for a piggyback ride! I already have so many wonderful qualities for home life. I walk nicely on leash, rarely bark, settle calmly in my kennel, and have excellent manners around food. Most importantly, I already know what it means to love and be loved by a family. My previous family wanted the very best for me, and now the volunteers and staff want the same. They’re especially hopeful that I’ll find a loving home where I can spend my senior years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and all the affection I deserve. I may be an older gentleman, but I still have so much love to give and so many happy memories left to make with my new family.   KKAEDOL'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2828490##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Sta Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltese Color: White Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility, where my life had been shaped by circumstances beyond my control. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance to experience kindness, comfort, and proper care. Now, I’m looking forward to leaving that chapter behind and beginning a brighter future as a cherished companion in a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Sta! I’m a sweet, people-oriented little dog with a gentle personality and a past that makes my rescuers wish they could give me the whole world. I came from a breeding facility, where I appear to have been used as a breeding dog. Despite that experience, I’m remarkably comfortable around people and seem genuinely excited about the opportunity to become someone’s companion. I’m naturally friendly and approachable, even with people I’ve never met before. I happily follow my favorite humans around to see what they’re doing. One of my sweetest habits is how peacefully I settle when someone picks me up. Rather than squirming or trying to get away, I relax into their arms as though being held is exactly where I want to be. I’m currently sporting a short haircut, but my appearance will become even more charming once my coat grows longer. For now, I have a simple, endearing look that suits my gentle personality, and I’m looking forward to showing off my fluffier side in the future! I’d do well with a family who appreciates a friendly, gentle companion and is willing to invest some patience in my training. I already have a wonderful foundation when it comes to connecting with people, and now I’m ready to learn the everyday skills that come with being part of a family. After spending so much of my life in a breeding facility, I’m hoping my next chapter will be filled with new experiences, comfortable routines, and the simple happiness of finally having a home of my own.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I happily approach both familiar faces and new people to say hello and ask for attention. I love leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted, even by someone I’ve just met. I’m so open and trusting that I may even roll over and show my belly to a complete stranger! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally prefer a friendly greeting rather than engaging in play. I don’t show much interest in interacting with other dogs beyond a quick hello and am usually content doing my own thing around them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m still working on my leash skills and getting used to going on walks. With continued practice, patience, and consistent guidance, I can gradually become more comfortable and confident on my walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. I may whine when I’m in a kennel, but with continued positive kennel training, patience, and a consistent routine, I can gradually learn to feel more comfortable and settle on my own. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors. When I first arrive in a new environment, I may mark as I get familiar with my surroundings. With time, a consistent routine, and regular potty breaks, I can become more comfortable and settled in my new space.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can relax, feel secure, and be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES One important thing my future family should know is that I currently mark quite frequently indoors. This is a habit that will require consistent training and management as I transition into a home. A predictable potty routine, close supervision, and positive reinforcement will help me understand appropriate bathroom habits.    STA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2864158##

Currently Dooboo is in Korea and will arrive in Toronto once adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.Adopt Dooboo, the Polite Little Maltese Who Taps You With His PawWhen Dooboo is happy, he lies down next to you and taps you gently with his front paw, again and again, as if he's asking you to stay a little longer. He's a well mannered little boy with a soft, affectionate streak, and he asks for very little beyond a warm lap and a treat.Quick Facts: Breed: Maltese · Sex: Male · Born: July 2018 (8 years old) · Weight: 2.3 kg · Location: Korea · Traits: Gentle, calm, affectionate · Health: Neutered, vaccinatedBackground: Dooboo was rescued in December 2025 from a puppy mill in Gimpo, Korea. His name means tofu in Korean, which suits him well. He spent five months in a foster home and is now back at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other dogs.Personality: Dooboo is a quiet, dignified boy who shows his affection in small ways. His favorite is the paw tap, given while lying down beside someone he likes. When a person comes to his kennel in the morning, he waits calmly rather than jumping or fussing. Treats are the way to his heart. Nothing in particular frightens him, and his energy level is low. New people, places, and objects don't get much of a reaction from him, but if something makes him curious, he'll wander over to look. Left on his own, he spends his time sleeping and resting.Compatibility: Dooboo doesn't react much to strangers. When someone catches his interest, he'll walk over and quietly check them out. He treats men and women the same. Young children are a bit too busy for his taste, though he doesn't mind them as long as they leave him in peace. With a person he loves, he'll curl up in their lap and fall asleep, but most of the time he's happy in his own spot. He has no sensitive areas when handled.Dooboo hasn't lived with cats before, so we can't say for certain how he'd do. Knowing his easygoing nature, though, we think it's possible with a slow, gradual introduction, plenty of patience, and enough space for each of them to have their own retreat while they get used to one another.Dooboo gets along well with small dogs. He doesn't pay much attention to other dogs, but he likes a calm friend who will rest quietly beside him. He shows no guarding over food or toys. The one thing he'd rather not share is a lap, and he'll let another dog know when he's already settled there.Behaviours & Training: Dooboo is trained to an indoor puppy pad and rests quietly in his crate. He hasn't had much experience walking on a leash or harness, so that's something his new family can teach him slowly. He stays calm in the car and behaves well at the vet. Bath time, nail trims, and brushing all go smoothly, though he tends to turn his face away during grooming. He has no chewing habits and knows his name. He'll bark briefly when a guest arrives and again at mealtime, but he's quiet the rest of the day. He shows no signs of separation anxiety and settles down to rest when left alone. He isn't pushy about food at all.Health & Diet: Dooboo is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He takes a monthly parasite preventative. In April, 2026 he had surgery to correct luxating kneecaps in both back legs. He has recovered fully and moves around comfortably. When we rescued Dooboo, we learned that years of neglect had damaged part of his lower jawbone, and he has no teeth. Our vet has checked him and found no infection or fracture. It doesn’t cause him any pain or require any special treatment. He eats well but does best with smaller soaked kibble mixed with wet food. He has passed his veterinary screening and is healthy and ready for a forever home. His adopter will recieve his full medical records.Ideal Home: A quiet household suits Dooboo best. He would do well as an only dog, and he'd be just as happy with a senior dog or one or two gentle, well mannered companions. A home without young children is a better fit for him. First time dog owners are welcome, since he's a low maintenance boy who doesn't need any special experience, just a soft place to rest and someone who enjoys his company. After a hard start at a puppy mill and a year of healing, Dooboo is ready for a calm home and a lap he can call his own. Whoever adopts him will be getting a gentle, undemanding little companion who says thank you with a tap of his paw.
