Story
Hi I’m Pierre with the pointy ears! My brother Philippe and I are two distinguished gentlemen of 15 years, and we come as a perfectly matched set of Maltese mixes .    We are a small dapper duo, about 10 lbs each, but our presence is mighty in the ways that count: loyalty, calm companionship, and the art of a good nap. Our previous person couldn't take us with them, when they went into assisted living. Underdogs Rock! Rescue saved us quickly so that we could stay together. Now we’re looking for a peaceful, loving home where we can spend our golden years together.  I’m a little more spry than my brother, and sometimes like to play and bounce around. Our ideal day involves an easy, leisurely stroll to sniff the interesting things, followed by the main event: finding the perfect, soft spot for cuddles and peaceful nap time.    Long hikes or frantic games of fetch though are too much for our little aging bodies, but we do like to play with toys occasionally! We have hearty appetites, love getting treats, and enjoy our daily walks.   As little seniors go, we have some expected aging health things like poor teeth, but we just went to the vet and got our bloodwork done and are in great shape for our age. Our rescue will be talking with the vet about getting a teeth cleaning and extractions if needed. We do well if we need to be crated, ride well in a car, and have good house training habits when we are taken outside as needed.   We have so much love left to give, and we're hoping to find a kind human (or two!) to share our peaceful world. High energy homes with active young children will be too much for us, but we’d be happy to join a home with other dog friends of similar energy.    Could you be the ones to give us the gentle, loving home we're dreaming of? Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee for both is $390. They are being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog. You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location or at your home and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and can be conducted virtually. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueFebruary 16, 2026, 2:56 am

Good with cats,
Story
Meet Roxie, a tiny, wiggly bundle of joy who truly believes she was put on this earth to love you. At just one year old, Roxie is all kisses, cuddles, and happy little zoomies on her short legs. She has that magical kind of sweetness that makes you smile the second you meet her—the kind of dog who crawls right into your heart (and probably your lap) and never wants to leave. Check her cute self out on her YouTube video https://youtu.be/0QK0aZHvL_0?si=9dIHfBIH0ercAL6O Roxie is a one-year-old Maltese / Yorkshire Terrier mix, and she is super small with the cutest short legs and the most playful, silly personality. She absolutely loves affection, giving kisses, cuddling close, soaking up love, and returning it tenfold. She’s a happy little girl who just wants to be near her people. She’s also very playful and goofy, and watching her run around is guaranteed to make you laugh. Roxie loves toys, playtime, and having fun—especially with other dogs. Big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between (from tiny 12-pound pals to gentle 80-pound giants), Roxie adores them all. She loves to play, snuggle, and be everyone’s little best friend. She currently lives with foster siblings and has an absolute blast—she’s social, friendly, and full of joy. Roxie is wonderful with people of all kinds and even does great with cats! She met the resident house cat and was very respectful, gave a polite sniff, and then happily went on about her business like the good little lady she is. If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a huge heart, a playful companion who also loves to cuddle, and a best friend who will adore you endlessly, Roxie might just be your perfect match. Story
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love him/her". Age-appropriateness is mandatory. You may feel that I am discriminating. I am. Age discrimination occurs in housing and employment. Not in pet adoptions. Thank you for understanding. Missy O' is an approximately 9-month-old Malti-poo, weighing approximately 17 pounds. this gal is snuggly, cuddly - on her terms. She'd rather cuddle you than you cuddle her. She loves to follow her person as they tend to chores, errands, shopping, and join in on outdoor gardening. She gets on well with other dogs, of all sizes. She is curious about cats; she'd rather not have them in her circle; I am sure the cats feel the same. She wouldn't hurt them, but just too much interest, I think. She is up to date on vaccines, shots, and is spayed. She loves going to the beauty parlor. O'Miss was well-loved and cared for. However, her owner is met with medical challenges. Her ideal home will be a young, exuberant, active family with a dog companion of similar vitality and size, and well-mannered children to have wonderful adventures. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding—Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.

Story
Charles is just the happiest little guy. He absolutely loves people and wants nothing more than to be close to you, soaking up attention, cuddles, and giving lots of kisses. He’s playful, silly, and full of energy, but also very sweet and affectionate. He’s the kind of dog who will happily run around playing and then curl right up in your lap when he’s ready to relax. Watch Charles YouTube video now https://youtu.be/Asuqb-u6fS8?si=QPLi8ygyWmVgGp0L He loves toys and can entertain himself, but also really enjoys playing with other dogs. He gets along great with dogs of different ages and has been wonderful with the dogs he’s around. Zoomies in the yard are one of his favorite things, and his curiosity and happy personality make him so fun to be around. Charles is so amazing around kids. He’s just such a happy fun guy. He would be a wonderful family dog, making your life so much better by him being in it. Charles is a 2½-year-old Maltese Poodle mix and about 12 pounds. He’s friendly, social, and just genuinely enjoys life. He’s one of those dogs who always seems happy and makes everyone around him smile. Charles would do great in a home looking for a loving, fun, affectionate companion who truly loves people and other dogs! Adopt him today! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
