Story
Ladonna was rescued in California after she was seen by a Good Samaritan being chased by a group of children who were kicking her. The Good Samaritan got Ladonna into their vehicle and to safety. Thankfully, Ladonna was ok after the ordeal and she is a resilient, sweet dog. No owners came for her when a found dog report was filed with the shelter. Now Ladonna is ready to start a new life where she has stability, love and safety.- Approximately 3 years old. Vet estimated 5 years old but her teeth are really white. 11.5 pounds but needs to gain 1-2 pounds still to fill out. Poor girl is a little underweight.- Possibly a Maltese or Havanese mix. She has soft, long white fur that is so pretty!- Female adopter preferred. She bonds strongly with women. She has not been adverse to men. But she does seem to gravitate towards women more.- Would love a home as an only dog if she had her choice. Ladonna really bonds strongly to her human and loves to show affection and cuddle. She doesn't love to share her person with other dogs. She is fostered with two other small dogs and generally gets along well. She may just need further boundaries set to help her not feel jealous of other dogs getting attention. She can go on walks and be around other dogs without issue. She just mainly protects her person from other dogs while on the couch or bed.- Cuddly, affectionate, loving little dog- Has been excellent with her potty habits!- Doing well in the crate but would love to sleep in bed with you if she had the choice.- Walks nicely on leash and we have not seen any leash reactivity. - Good with cats and was fostered with a cat and ignored it.- Kids ages 10+ if there are children in the home.Ladonna is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $500 adoption feeFostered in Oregon City, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT LADONNA ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
If you believe the very best dogs are the gentle, quiet ones who simply want to love and be loved, then Mochi may be the perfect little companion you’ve been waiting for. Mochi is a 10-year-old Maltese Poodle mix with the softest soul and the sweetest presence. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need a lot to be happy—just a cozy blanket, a peaceful place to relax, and a person nearby to share quiet moments with. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/2DpAILNVOIg?si=cz5ctrKZCZ4Zp_nN Mochi is an extremely gentle and sweet boy. His whole personality is calm, soft, and easygoing. He moves through life at a relaxed pace, enjoying the simple things that make each day comfortable and peaceful. While younger dogs might be racing around the house, Mochi is perfectly content to find a soft spot, curl up into the coziest little ball, and watch the world go by. One of Mochi’s favorite things in the whole world is being outside. There is something about the sunshine and the fresh air that makes him especially happy. He loves to wander out into the grass, roll around a little, and soak in the peaceful feeling of being surrounded by nature. Sometimes he’ll simply sit or lay in the sun like a tiny fluffy cloud, enjoying the warmth and the quiet moment. Watching him enjoy these little outdoor breaks is incredibly sweet and calming. Inside the home, Mochi is a true professional when it comes to being cozy. Give him a comfy blanket and he will happily curl up into the cutest little ball imaginable. He loves to sleep near his people, tucked into a soft spot where he feels safe and relaxed. There’s something so comforting about having a little dog like Mochi nearby, quietly snoozing and keeping you company. Mochi is currently living in a foster home with two large dogs, and he does wonderfully with them. He’s not particularly interested in playing with them, but he coexists with them beautifully. He’s polite, peaceful, and happy simply sharing the space. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t create drama—he just quietly fits into the home and brings a calm, gentle energy wherever he goes. His foster family describes him as an incredibly good boy. He’s easy to have around, sweet with everyone he meets, and appreciative of every bit of kindness he receives. Mochi has that special quality that older dogs often have—the ability to make a house feel more peaceful just by being there. Because of his calm nature, Mochi would likely do wonderfully in a home where he can continue to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. A soft bed, cozy blankets, a sunny yard or patch of grass, and a loving human nearby would make his days complete. He doesn’t need big adventures or constant activity—he simply wants a safe, comfortable home where he can enjoy life at his own gentle pace. Mochi is the kind of dog who reminds you how special the quiet moments can be. The soft sound of him breathing while he naps nearby, the way he curls up into his blanket like a tiny fluffy donut, or the way he slowly waddles out into the grass to enjoy the sunshine—these little things make life with him incredibly sweet. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will bring warmth, calm, and quiet joy into your home, Mochi might just be your perfect match. All he wants is a soft place to rest, a little sunshine, and a family to love—and he will give that love right back every single day. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Chino! Chino is a 4-year-old Maltese looking for a calm, patient home where he can be someone’s one and only. This little guy is learning what it means to be loved and cherished — and while he may be shy at first, once you earn his trust, he’ll give you his whole heart. Watch his video here and come back to read more about him! https://youtu.be/7dnuzhZ3kR4 Chino is still getting used to affection, so he needs someone who understands that trust takes time. He would thrive with a single person or older adult who has prior dog experience and can offer consistency, quiet, and love. Once he feels safe, he’ll be your faithful lap dog — content just being near you. He walks well on a leash, is treat-motivated (especially when cheese is involved!), and is working hard to be on his best behavior to earn your affection. Chino lives in a home with small dogs like him and BIG dogs too. He is a not playful with any of his foster dog brothers. He prefers to lay in bed with his person and lap up all the affection and love. When his foster dad comes home he runs up to his leg and paws for attention. If you have a soft heart, a patient spirit, and an open lap, Chino may just be the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. Email Stephanie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there!
