Keke is a very special girl. She will do well in a home with a medium sized family or one single peson that does not mind her clingyness. She is not house-trained so she will need to either be trained or be taken outside at LEAST twice a day. For this reason, I highly recommend someone who is active or outdoorsy. Our walks can range from 5 minutes to an hour. She doesn't really like the rain when the grass is wet however if she has to go she will. When I first got Keke from the shelter, I was lucky in the sense that she could eat almost anything; however, nowadays she is a little more picky, especially if she smells or sees a better option. I homemake her own food using pasta noodles, ground turkey, chicken hearts, veggies, and supplements; however, she also really enjoys the Just Food for Dogs BOXED food. She will eat dry food as a LAST resource and doesn't really like any of the store brand wet foods (to my knowledge). Would be great with a family/person with one other SMALL dog.

Hello, my name is Heathcliff! I am a 3-year-old Maltese/Havanese mix weighing around 9 pounds, and I am looking for a family to call my own. I may be small, but I have a big personality and plenty of energy to keep life fun and exciting. I am a friendly, playful boy who loves toys and enjoys spending time with other dogs that are similar in size, age, and energy level. I am still learning about the world around me and will need a family that understands the time, patience, and commitment required to help a young dog continue to mature into a well-mannered companion. I am crate trained and working on my house training, but I will need consistency and positive reinforcement as I continue to learn. I enjoy playing, exploring, and staying active, so a securely fenced yard is important for my safety. I am also quite curious and have been known to be an escape artist, so my family will need to be careful when opening doors and gates. I can be vocal when I am playing or left alone, so I would likely do best in a home rather than an apartment setting.
