Meet Elvis! Our 15.8 pound, 8 year old, male Maltese. Elvis is a gentle, affectionate little companion who’s ready to bring warmth and joy into a loving home. With his soft temperament and eager-to-please nature, he thrives on cuddles, calm moments, and being close to his people. Elvis enjoys light playtime, cozy naps, and following his favorite humans from room to room with quiet devotion. Perfect for both apartments and houses, he’s a loyal lap dog who bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly. He’s patiently waiting for a forever family who will cherish his tender spirit and give him the love he’s so ready to share.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

Heathcliff is a 1-2 year old 9 pound neutered male Maltese/Havanese mix.  Neuter, current on all vaccines, heart worm negative, microchipped crate trained and working on house training. Heathcliff is still learning about the world and will need a family that understands the time, patience and commitment that comes with a young adult dog. This will include potty training, learning basic commands, regular exercise, and lots of play time. Heathcliff is very curious and likes toys so make sure you have lots of toys to help him grow into a well manner adult dog. Heathcliff would do best with a dog his size, age and energy level. He loves to play. His breed will need regular grooming. If you are ready to welcome this sweet boy into your home and help him grow into the best dog he can be ,I would love to meet you. If you are interested in meeting Heathcliff please submit an adoption application.      Adoption fee is 275.00       We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
