Story
Meet Leia! We don't know much about early in her life, but her previous owners moved to housing that did not allow them to take her along. They thought that Leia may have been used for breeding before they got her, but she is fixed now and ready to be part of your family. Leia, although vocal, is very friendly with people and LOVES gentle children. Her estimated birthdate is in 2016, but she is still a lively dog. She is being monitored for a heart murmur, but currently does not require medication to treat it. We have not seen her interact with cats, but she might do okay with visiting canines. Leia would do best as the only dog in the home, as she tends to guard resources. Leia needs a securely fenced yard with no gaps 4" or larger for her safety. Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Adoption donation fee up to $350 (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue) September 3, 2026, 12:51 pm

Marshmallow was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are kept for production rather than loved as companions. After spending years in an environment where comfort, affection, and individual care were never guaranteed, Marshmallow is finally safe and has the opportunity to begin a completely new chapter. At only 5 lbs, Marshmallow is an incredibly tiny little boy who deserves all the comforts he missed out on before — a warm bed, a safe home, and a family who will give him the patience and love he needs as he adjusts to his new life. Marshmallow has already made an incredible journey. Now he just needs the most important part: a forever family to call his own. ❤️ Adoption Information Marshmallow’s adoption fee is $1,595, a non-refundable donation that helps support Ginger’s Pet Rescue’s ongoing rescue efforts. The adoption fee helps cover the significant costs associated with rescuing and preparing our international dogs for adoption, including: International transport from South Korea to Seattle Spay/neuter Age-appropriate vaccinations Microchip Health certificate Veterinary examination Bloodwork Heartworm testing Fecal testing Deworming Dental care when medically necessary All dogs receive veterinary care appropriate to their individual needs before adoption. Additional treatment may be provided when medically necessary. Important Adoption Requirements For safety, adopters are required to provide an Apple AirTag or approved GPS tracking device for their adopted dog. Please understand that breed, age, and weight are estimates based on the information available to the rescue and cannot be guaranteed. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and adoption fees help offset rescue, veterinary, transportation, and care expenses while allowing us to continue saving dogs in need. www.gingerspetrescue.org admin@gingerspetrescue.org 425-236-4441 Adoptions available in and out of state. Story
Pamela is a playful, affectionate girl with a heart full of love and energy to share. She is working on learning commands and becoming a very well behaved young pup.  She is excellent in her crate trained and leash also. She gets a little nervous in the car making her drool a bit.  Not a huge fan of the car, but we have a feeling she can get used to it slowly.   She's ready to bring fun, laughter, and endless tail wags to her forever family. Story
Meet Alexander! Alexander is around 4 years old and came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. Alexander is a friendly, affectionate boy with a winning personality. He loves people and has a wonderful way of making everyone around him feel adored. He gets along well with other dogs and happily greets both dogs and people on his walks. He has not yet been tested with cats. We think he would also do well with children; kids over 10 should be a great fit. Alexander has a lovely balance of energy and companionship. He enjoys walks and playing in the yard, but he is equally happy curled up at his foster mom’s feet while she works from home. His favorite pastime may be gazing lovingly at her throughout the day. He has bonded beautifully with everyone in his foster home and loves being included in family life—including car rides, parks, youth sporting events, group activities/gatherings, and outdoor restaurants. He is also making great progress learning to be comfortable on his own. Alexander will go willingly into his crate with a treat and has successfully stayed home for 3+ hours. He may bark intermittently while his family is away, but he can settle himself and rest, and he comes out of his crate calm when they return. Alexander can be vocal at times, so he would not be a good fit for apartment living or a home where barking could be an issue. That said, his barking has improved tremendously as he has settled into foster care, and he is increasingly responsive to gentle correction. With consistency and time, we expect that progress to continue. Alexander was still working on potty training when he arrived in foster care, but he is coming along beautifully with a consistent routine. Regular trips outside—either into the yard or for a quick walk—have made a big difference, and his foster family is learning his cues and helping him succeed. More than anything, Alexander is a loving, social dog who wants to be part of his people’s lives. He has made wonderful progress in foster care and will thrive with a home that can give him affection, consistency, exercise, and a little patience as he continues to settle into his new life. Alexander is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is scheduled for a full dental cleaning in September. His adoption fee is $450.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Gidget! Gidget is around two years old and she is just a cutie. She loves walks and going outside and exploring. Gidget loves humans and is very affectionate. She needs a minute to warm up to strangers but once she trusts you she will become very attached. She is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs and all the love.  Gigdet is crate trained and able to be left alone if you need to be away from home.  Gidget has lived with other dogs but can be a bit jealous of them so she will probably like being your only dog so that she can hog all the attention. As mentioned she can be shy with strangers and this needs some work. She is easily overwhelmed with strangers trying to touch her and she may nip in those situations. Her foster is working on this with her.  Gigdet is not suitable for a home with kids. We have not seen her with cats. She is well potty trained and just a sweetheart. Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Jasper and Chloe! This sweet pair of seniors are in a long-term relationship, and we cannot separate them after 45+ dog years together. They are in need of a home that can open their hearts to both easy-going dogs. Jasper, a Shih Tzu born in August 2011, is ready to go with the flow. Need someone to lend an ear (despite not being able to hear that well) or just be a calming presence? Jasper is your guy! Chloe, a Bichon Frise mix born in September 2014, is quite the friendly gal. She is missing some teeth, leaving her tongue hanging out of her mouth in an adorable fashion. She is scheduled for a double knee replacement, and will need a home that can help her recover. Jasper and Chloe are great little dogs who would love to join your home! Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com.
