Orville Buttersworth looks like a stuffed animal with the soul of a slightly cranky old man, and honestly, it only makes him more lovable. He believes couches are made for cuddling, hands are made for scratching his booty, and other animals are perfectly acceptable as long as they understand that personal space is sacred. He is sweet, funny, particular, and completely content doing life at his own pace. We believe he may be a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, but with animal rescue, breeds are always a mystery and never an exact science! Orville is dog friendly and has spent time around dogs of many different sizes and personalities. He is not looking for a best buddy or wrestling partner because playing with other dogs simply is not his vibe. He is perfectly happy peacefully coexisting, hanging out nearby, and doing his own thing. Other dogs do not bother or stress him, but he appreciates companions who understand when he would like to be left alone. He also met our house cat Biggie and was appropriate and respectful around him. Orville did not chase Biggie or seem bothered by him jumping around and doing typical cat things. Biggie felt comfortable around Orville too! We do not know whether Orville has ever lived with a cat, and this was our first time seeing him interact with one. If you have a cat at home, we can arrange for Orville to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Orville is crate trained and remains comfortable and quiet in his crate. He is potty trained for the most part and has been most successful with frequent potty breaks. He enjoys treats and takes them gently, but he has not shown much interest in toys. He would much rather collect scratches and cuddle beside his person on the couch. Orville cannot see very well, so he may flinch or become startled if someone grabs or reaches for him too quickly. Going slowly and allowing him time to understand what is happening helps him feel safe. He can also be a little clumsy at times, so a home without stairs or with minimal stairs would be the best fit for him. Orville is looking for a comfortable couch, patient people, respectful animal roommates if there are any, and someone who understands that booty scratches are an essential part of his daily routine. Marshmallow was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are kept for production rather than loved as companions. Meet Gidget! Gidget is around two years old and she is just a cutie. She loves walks and going outside and exploring. Gidget loves humans and is very affectionate. She needs a minute to warm up to strangers but once she trusts you she will become very attached. She is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs and all the love.  Gigdet is crate trained and able to be left alone if you need to be away from home.  Gidget has lived with other dogs but can be a bit jealous of them so she will probably like being your only dog so that she can hog all the attention. As mentioned she can be shy with strangers and this needs some work. She is easily overwhelmed with strangers trying to touch her and she may nip in those situations. Her foster is working on this with her.  Gigdet is not suitable for a home with kids. We have not seen her with cats. She is well potty trained and just a sweetheart. Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Pamela is a playful, affectionate girl with a heart full of love and energy to share. She is working on learning commands and becoming a very well behaved young pup.  She is excellent in her crate trained and leash also. She gets a little nervous in the car making her drool a bit.  Not a huge fan of the car, but we have a feeling she can get used to it slowly.   She's ready to bring fun, laughter, and endless tail wags to her forever family.
