Story
Fluff is a Maltese puppy. She is settling with her new surroundings although she is hesitant and timid. She is a curious, but might bark a little when she is scared by loud noises or someone new enters the room. She settles down once she realizes that there is no threat. She feels more secure being with another little dog, but doesn’t mind being on her own for short periods and will likely nap if she is alone for long. She will also undoubtedly become more confident with humans that she gets to know on a regular basis. She is adventurous and somewhat a little vocal. She prefers staying in her crate and sleeps happily snuggled in there alone or with another dog. She sleeps 8 hours at night and barks when she’s ready to get up. She are uses potty pads consistently but not perfectly. She will likely learn to use the great outdoors when given the opportunity! She is used to being with another dog and may miss that at first anyway. She does not have experience with cats or children yet, but she is pretty easy going if only hesitant or shy with new experiences. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Nilla Wafer is a 1 year old Shih Tzu. He is sometimes called Nilla or Nilly, and is a playful and curious puppy. He loves playing with all of the toys and entertains himself well - he especially loves chew toys and anything with a crinkly sound. He can be vocal when he's overly excited, but he is food motivated so training should be fairly easy. He was sleeping in a crate with his litter mate and was sleeping through the night. He's a little bit shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. He still starts off in the crate, but when he wakes up in the night he gets to go bed with his human, and he sleeps through the night. He's doing well with potty training and going outside. If he does need to potty while inside, he knows to go on a potty pad or take care of his business outside. He's a little nervous at first and shows some potential signs of anxiety, but with some training, and love making him more secure he should be totally fine. He's also a bit of a whiner - sometimes whining/crying when he doesn't get his way. When he gets used to his new environment and the rules he will likely settle down. He can be a little possessive of treats and food. He is good with other dogs, He sits well in a car. He food motivated. He's a fast learner and seems to be both anxious and independent at the same time. He's definitely a smart cookie! -----

Good with cats,
Story
Meet Roxie, a tiny, wiggly bundle of joy who truly believes she was put on this earth to love you. At just one year old, Roxie is all kisses, cuddles, and happy little zoomies on her short legs. She has that magical kind of sweetness that makes you smile the second you meet her—the kind of dog who crawls right into your heart (and probably your lap) and never wants to leave. Check her cute self out on her YouTube video https://youtu.be/0QK0aZHvL_0?si=9dIHfBIH0ercAL6O Roxie is a one-year-old Maltese / Yorkshire Terrier mix, and she is super small with the cutest short legs and the most playful, silly personality. She absolutely loves affection, giving kisses, cuddling close, soaking up love, and returning it tenfold. She’s a happy little girl who just wants to be near her people. She’s also very playful and goofy, and watching her run around is guaranteed to make you laugh. Roxie loves toys, playtime, and having fun—especially with other dogs. Big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between (from tiny 12-pound pals to gentle 80-pound giants), Roxie adores them all. She loves to play, snuggle, and be everyone’s little best friend. She currently lives with foster siblings and has an absolute blast—she’s social, friendly, and full of joy. Roxie is wonderful with people of all kinds and even does great with cats! She met the resident house cat and was very respectful, gave a polite sniff, and then happily went on about her business like the good little lady she is. If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a huge heart, a playful companion who also loves to cuddle, and a best friend who will adore you endlessly, Roxie might just be your perfect match.
