She was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are denied comfort and choice — but Evie is finally safe and ready to begin a new chapter filled with care and kindness. At five years old, Evie is wonderfully calm and affectionate. She enjoys peaceful routines, warm laps, and staying close to her people. She’s the kind of little companion who doesn’t ask for much — just patience, consistency, and a loving home where she can finally relax and feel secure. With time and tenderness, Evie is ready to form a deep, loyal bond that will make every day brighter. &#226&#156&#168 Evie is looking for a foster or forever home where she can continue to grow in confidence and experience what it truly means to belong. Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi, my name is Sugar and I am a wonderful 7  year-old female Maltese, weighing in at approximately 8  lbs.    I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me endure unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle and affectionate companion who loves being around people, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.    We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of  $1,495 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) c  overs Spay/Neuter.    DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.    For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.    Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in  need.    Email  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to help with vet bills at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible.     March 7, 2026, 8:59 pm

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi! My name is Peanut, and I came all the way from Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 3-year-old Maltese boy and weigh about 8 lbs — small, sweet, and full of charm. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m waiting for my chance to travel to Seattle. To make this possible, I need a foster home to welcome me when I arrive. Once I’m here, I’ll also be looking for my forever adoptive home filled with love and care. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. My adoption fee of $1,695 is a donation that is non-refundable and helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own or purchase one from us. We do not guarantee the breed or age of our dogs. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all adoption fees are donations that help more dogs get their second chance. If you think you can open your heart to a very special boy like me, please fill out an adoption or foster application on my page at www.gingerspetrescue.org .March 7, 2026, 8:59 pm

Story
Sailor is such a sweet little girl and perfect in every way. She is still quite scared and still shivers sometimes, but she is also brave and curious. In the beginning she finally drank some water and started to eat a few bites of soft food. She's was still trying to process this huge change in her life and was kind of frozen. She would stay still in one spot until she was moved. She didn't get up to pee, drink water or do anything. Day, she is eating more food and she is exposing her new environment. She even barked for the first time! She has been going potty outside and even to explore outside, sniffing everything. She had a play date with two Maltese dogs. She did get up to check them out and was friendly. Every day she takes small steps eating more food, drinking water, relieving herself and exploring. He curiosity is showing more every day. She is putting lots of energy into trying new things and becoming less shy. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Aquanaut 7 year old Maltese. She is sweet, curious, quiet, and very gentle. She loves attention, and is making progress with potty training. She is also learning to walk on a leash and doing well. She’s a lovely little companion with a soft personality. Her favorite snack is pig ears! She sleeps in her dog bed on the floor next to her people bed. She sleeps well overall and, if she wakes and stirs occasionally, she settles back down easily with gentle reassurance. She is working on potty training outside and is making great progress! She is good with other dogs and with children, and she rides well in a car. -----
