He is currently healthy and ready to find his forever family. 🐶 Personality & Behavior 💖 People-friendly – Duyu is a cheerful, affectionate little dog who loves being around people. He enjoys attention and affection and loves staying close to his humans. 💖 Kid-friendly – He especially loves children and enjoys spending time with them. 💖 Dog-friendly – Duyu gets along well with other dogs and has shown no issues interacting with them. 💖 Cat-friendly – Not tested with cats. ✅ Toilet-trained: Fully pee pad trained ✅ Leash manners: Enjoys walks and walks well on leash ✅ Energy level: Medium to high outdoors, calmer indoors ✅ Favorite activity: Going for walks and exploring outside ✅ Handling: Loves being touched, cuddled, and handled ✅ Escape instinct: None known ✅ Prey drive: Unknown ✅ Guarding tendency: None observed ✅ Crate trained: No 🏡 Additional Notes • Friendly with both men and women • Loves children • Gets along well with other dogs • Apartment living is suitable • Does not require a yard • Prefers being close to his people and often wants to sleep beside them • Has not shown any destructive behavior • May howl when left alone Duyu can be a little cautious indoors and prefers walking on surfaces with mats or rugs. Because of this, he often appears more energetic and confident outdoors, where he truly enjoys exploring and going on walks. 💔 Rescue Story Duyu was sadly surrendered by his previous owner after living with them for a year. Despite losing the only home he knew, Duyu has remained loving, trusting, and affectionate. He continues to greet people with a happy spirit and enjoys every bit of attention and companionship he receives. Now, Duyu is waiting for a forever family who will never give up on him and will give him the love, security, and commitment he deserves for the rest of his life. Marion is a Mini Goldendoodle born on March 25, 2023, weighing in at 52 pounds—we're using the term mini a little loosely with this girl! She recently retired from life as a breeding dog and is learning that the world can be a kind and safe place. Of all our mama doodles, Marion is the shyest. Each day, however, she becomes a little braver. Her confidence grows the most when she has a patient human by her side who simply lets her know she's loved. Our founder, Jessica, has proudly taken on the role of "Aunt Jessy," even joining Marion outside for potty breaks so she never has to face the big world alone. One thing Marion has already mastered? House training! She isn't a fan of crates, but thankfully she doesn't need one. She's happiest when she has the freedom to relax in a quiet home where she feels safe. Marion would thrive with a securely fenced yard and a family that understands trust can't be rushed. She prefers calm voices, slow movements, and gentle encouragement. Because she can become overwhelmed easily, a home without young children would be the best fit for her. She's freshly groomed, has developed quite the appreciation for grilled chicken, and is slowly discovering that affection can be a wonderful thing. The family who gives Marion the time and patience she deserves will be rewarded with something incredibly special—the joy of watching a timid dog realize, little by little, that she is finally home. Samantha is a Mini Goldendoodle born on February 28, 2022, and weighs 62 pounds. She has some extra fluff these days and would definitely benefit from a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and helping her live a healthier, happier life. Until coming to Ruff Draft, Samantha's world was heartbreakingly small. She spent her life in a 4' x 4' kennel with only a small run attached. With little stimulation and nothing but food and water for company, it's no surprise she found comfort in eating. Thankfully, that chapter is over forever. Now she's discovering what it means to simply be a dog. Every day brings new experiences, and while she's still a little shy and learning to trust, her sweet personality is already beginning to shine through. Our favorite thing about Samantha? Her smile. When she's happy or excited, she wiggles her whole head and flashes the biggest toothy grin. It's impossible not to smile right back. Samantha has spent enough of her life being valued for the puppies she could produce.
