Story
I got Sky from a breeder when he was just 2 months old. He is a very loving pet, he loves to cuddle up next to you, and gives lots of kisses. Sky comes and sits in my lap and often goes to sleep there. Sky is a very well behaved and quiet dog, but like most other dogs bark when there is someone near the door, or if I am coming home. I want a nice home and loving owners for Sky who can give him all the love, care, attention and most importantly cuddles, as he is like a baby to me.

Story
Lucky is an incredibly sweet, loving dog who truly just wants to be close to her people. She's a 12 lb. Maltipoo Mix born on 8/1/25. She’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch and snuggle for hours, and wherever you go in the house, she’ll likely be right behind you—she loves being your little shadow. Lucky is leash trained and mostly potty trained. Like many sensitive dogs, she can get nervous when left alone and may occasionally have an accident during those times, but she has been making progress and we’ve been working with her on building confidence. She sleeps in her crate at night and does well there, though she’d probably be happiest curled up in bed with you if given the choice! Lucky would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time—she’d be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home or has a quieter household. She is wonderful with kids and has been very patient and gentle with the kind of love and attention that only young kids can give. She also loves playing with her toys, being held, and getting lots of snuggles. Lucky does have separation anxiety, so she’s looking for a home that understands this and is willing to continue helping her feel safe and secure. With her current medication, she can tolerate being home alone for a couple of hours at a time. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection, follow you everywhere, and happily spend the day snuggled by your side, Lucky truly could be the perfect pet. Snow is a 6-year-old maltese x shihtzu who has already experienced the heartbreak of losing multiple homes and is now searching for the stable, loving family he has always deserved. He is a sensitive, gentle boy who is quite fearful right now after everything he’s been through, but with patience, kindness, and a calm environment, he has the potential to truly blossom and learn to trust again. Snow would thrive best in a quiet, adult-only home and is okay with other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for someone who understands that love sometimes takes time.

Story
Marty is being fostered in PA. 1-17-2026 Update for Marty Marty is doing really well in his foster home and is still a spunky little man with a bit of arthritis in his backend but it doesn't slow him down. Marty's hearing continues to be pretty good for his age and he is right in the mix of his foster siblings when Mom comes home after being out for any time. Marty's hair has grown in nicely on his back. He was almost bald when he came to his foster home. Marty's foster mom had never seen a change in a foster's personality quite as drastic as she did following Marty's dental, when all of his teeth had to be removed. Some teeth were so badly decayed that they had begun to calcify and attach to his jaw bones. After a few days of recovery, he began to eat and to be interested in the world. Marty eats soaked kibble with some soft food mixed in and eats every bite of each meal. He is now on 4 medications for his congestive heart failure and is doing very well with just an occasional cough. Fun facts about Marty: -He LOVES burrowing into beds that have a flap for him to crawl under -He is not safe when on furniture because he will quickly decide he wants off and give no warning and has no fear. -Marty never barks -Marty is smaller than the two cats in his foster home and really doesn't care. :) Little Marty is a sweet, easy-going little mini poodle guy who gets along with dogs and cats and people of all ages. His breed is guessed at as a full blooded mini poodle. His estimated age is about 13 but he's a very quick-stepping little man and enjoys exploring his environment, especially outside. He can find his way to the door and he was doing a great job at pottying outside until his foster mom went back to work a couple weeks ago. He will be very easy to get back in the habit of eliminating outside with a forever family who is home more. He's fairly easy to figure out in that, if he's up and exploring, he needs to go out. :) Marty has a very thin coat of fur on his torso but he does not have any visible skin issues and does not itch. His thyroid levels were checked and were fine. We know little about his past life so he may be recuperating from a past issue. Marty is leash trained and does well but because he's a small and older guy, walks won't be very fast. He also rides well in the car. At this time, he seems to enjoy dog bed hopping over being on a lap and he will walk right off the edge of a chair or bed. He needs to be carried up and down stairs and has no awareness of being at the top of stairs. He will remind his foster mom if his breakfast or dinner is overly late. Marty has had a slight cough since arriving in his foster home and following an xray on September 16th, it was discovered that his heart is slightly enlarged and he has a small amount of fluid in the upper portion of his one lung. These are both signs of congestive heart failure, which is fairly common in little old men like Marty. He will probably need to take Benazepril, Lasix and Pimobendan for the rest of his life. These medications run about 50.00 per month. Marty will have a dental on September 26th. He will probably need to have most, if not all, of his teeth extracted but it will be so much better for him to have a healthy mouth again! Marty will make a sweet little companion for some family. He's very excited to be spoiled and doted on for the rest of his days. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
