Meet King, the 8-month-old Maremma Sheepdog who is ready to rule your heart! King is a big ( 65 pound) fluffy bundle of love who hasn't quite realized just how big he is. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to be the center of your universe, King is your boy.
King is a big, sweet dope who lives for affection. He doesn't entirely understand the concept of personal space and will happily try to climb into your lap or sit on you just to get closer to his favorite people. While he takes a little bit of time to warm up to new situations, once he knows you're safe, he is entirely devoted and will quickly become your absolute best friend.
King is currently living and playing with three other dogs. Howevee we think King would thrive as an only dog where he can soak up 100% of your love. He absolutely loves attention from older kids and teenagers who can match his size and energy.
He is currently unsure of other dogs and takes a while to build confidence around them, so slow introductions are a must.
King is a Food Ninja! Warning-do not leave your snacks unguarded! King is incredibly sneaky and will swiftly swipe food right out of your hands if you aren't paying attention or off the counter.
King is already fully housebroken and doing fantastic in his crate.
He is the ultimate chewer! Like any growing puppy, he loves to chew. He will need a steady supply of tough toys, puzzle games, and bones to keep his busy mind occupied. As long as he gets his outlets or crate when alone this is a very easily managed habit.
He loves going for walks to explore the neighborhood, but he is equally happy just lounging outside in the yard and watching the world go by.
King is looking for a patient, loving family willing to give him the time he needs to warm up and the guidance a big puppy deserves. If you have plenty of lap space a fenced yard for him to chill in and a secure stash of treats, King is ready to join his forever kingdom!
