Story
Stevie may be a senior girl, but she still has so much love left to give. She is a professional couch potato, adores all people, and does great with older kids. She would prefer to be your one and only (dog siblings are not her favorite), but she does tolerate cats. Honestly, at her age, don't you think she deserves the spotlight anyway?

Story
***DFW area only-No Exceptions***     Flurry is a 4 month  old (as of 4/9 /26) possibly Great Pyrenees/Australian cattle dog mix puppy. His litter was left at the back door of a local shelter at just one week of age.  His foster mom saw a plea and brought him in to the Legacy Humane fold!  Flurry  loves to be played with, is attentive to his person, sweet and fun. He enjoys playing with toys and can entertain himself as well as play with his humans and doggy friends. He likes to climb in his foster mom’s lap for a snuggle. He also enjoys finding a quiet corner for a good nap. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is generally gentle and calm. He can be a bit shy in new situations but warms up faster if a nice doggy friend is around. He prefers a quiet calm, predictable people. He has a special love for his foster dad. Flurry is 100% potty trained in his foster home.    Flurry is much adored in his foster home and has some simple demands for his new home. 1) He must be cuddled and told he is a precious boy several times per day 2) He must be hugged and his owner must bury their face in his fur and tell him what a good boy he is several times per day.  3) Play time with squeaky balls and toys is a must. You can join him or simply watch the cuteness. 4) Belly rubs are required at least twice per day but may be combined with items 1 and 2.  In short, adoration is expected, appreciated and frankly, earned daily!    Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Flurry is potty trained in his foster home and is expected to learn the rules and setup in his new home easily. Flurry is hesitant with kids who are not calm but he is gentle. So far he does well with other dogs and cats. Flurry responds well to corrections from dogs and curtails his behavior accordingly. He would do best in a home with a yard.    Current weight: 30 lbs Projected weight 80+ lbs Crate trained    We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes his neuter, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative.  If you're interested in meeting or adopting him, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Adopter will take puppy to an LHS approved vet to be neutered in July of 2025 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.  *Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with many other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them. He loves all his canine buddies and is also fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is crate-trained primarily and will ask to go outside; however, he has not been able to stay up for longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides, but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.

Story
Gunner is 8 months old. Unknown mix, possible Great Pyrenees mix. We took Gunner in at 11 week from a friend. He is a very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and play. He gets along well with other dogs and is extremely sweet and gentle with our toddlers. Unfortunately, our oldest developed very strong allergies we did not anticipate. He is crate trained. Sleeps in crate at night. Follows basic commands. Treat driven for puppy training. Will provide crate, bed, and other essentials along with his up to date vaccination records. Will be neutered 2/27.
