Story
Junebug, also affectionately nicknamed June, Junie, and Buggy by her foster family, turned 12 weeks old today! She weighed in at 23lbs. Per Wisdom Panel, she is a Great Pyrenees/Australian Cattle Dog mix expected to weigh between 60-97lbs when full grown. Junebug is kennel trained and only wakes up once during the night to go potty. She is doing fantastic with potty training and will let her foster family know that she has to use the restroom by going to the back door. She still has a couple of accidents a day, but she is really catching on! Junebug is very food motivated, which has made training super easy. She knows how to sit, lay down, and place on command. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and would thrive in a forever home with a canine playmate or with owners with Great Pyrenees experience! Her favorite place to nap is on the fireplace or on the hardwood floor. She isn’t a huge fan of dog beds or cuddling. We are guessing with all of her hair, she gets hot easily! *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):
Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
