Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is another one of our babies who was found just wandering around a rural area in South Georgia. Locals reported seeing Winnie waiting at the bus stop for children each day but still no one ever came looking for her Winnie is a strikingly beautiful brindle girl, about 5 yrs old. She's very chill and would probably thrive as the Queen of her own Castle, but she does get along well with other dogs too. A nice quiet place to sun bathe outside and a comfy sofa with a soft blanket is what this lovely lady wants more than anything else! As is very common with most of the dogs we rescue from rural areas, Winnie did test positive for heartworm disease. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by a veterinary cardiologist in Atlanta. All treatment medications are provided and there are typically no lasting effects after successful treatment  Interested in adding a bit of royalty to your family? Story
I acquired Bailey from a neighbor. She cried every night outside and the neighbor said she got too big for her kids they were afraid of her. She is the sweetest dog you can find. All she is lacking is affection. We didnt want a pet but couldnt stand to hear her cry night after night. She looks totally different now that we had her going in two years. She is super friendly with people and gets excited when she see other dogs. Shes big and she can have an intimidating look. Shes actually very scary. She have been seen walking around with other dogs so I dont think she has a problem with other dogs once the excitement calms. She does have a good appetite. Favorite snacks is the pepperoni treats. I have been keeping her in the garage because I cant allow her to roam the neighborhood due to her size and her intimidating look. She gets out of the fence and will hang around at the bus stop with the kids and play with them until they get on the school bus. Shes a very good dog and pet!

Story
Introducing this handsome gentleman named Caesar! He was on an adventure on 11/25 and got lost along the way. He arrived at the shelter with ID but sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Caesar is 8 years and 1 week old and weighs in at 112 pounds. The volunteers describe him as a gentle giant who is super duper sweet and cute as a button. He knows to sit when asked for treats and loves them. So please make sure you have plenty of those on hand! The shelter is no place for a dog his size and age to live out his golden years. Caesar is more than ready to be taken care of and come home to a welcoming family for the rest of his years. Once outside he loves to explore and sniff every spot his sees throughout his walk. He is a bit strong on the leash but he is so excited just to be out of his kennel for a little while. We think with the right family who is patient and committed to him, with proper training and guidance, he will have this mastered in no time at all. He will be an awesome student. Sadly, he is heart worm positive. Would you be a hero for this sweet golden boy? Ask about foster-to-adopt, so he can be treated for heartworms at your home (the shelter will do the treatment). Ask for ID# 15320 in Run 30. He will be neutered upon adoption and is micro-chipped. With treatment, dogs who test positive for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. When choosing a forever pup, please make sure you have the space, time, energy, devotion, love, and lifestyle to ensure that Caesar has the best upbringing possible. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
