Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is another one of our babies who was found just wandering around a rural area in South Georgia. Locals reported seeing Winnie waiting at the bus stop for children each day but still no one ever came looking for her Winnie is a strikingly beautiful brindle girl, about 5 yrs old. She's very chill and would probably thrive as the Queen of her own Castle, but she does get along well with other dogs too. A nice quiet place to sun bathe outside and a comfy sofa with a soft blanket is what this lovely lady wants more than anything else! As is very common with most of the dogs we rescue from rural areas, Winnie did test positive for heartworm disease. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by a veterinary cardiologist in Atlanta. All treatment medications are provided and there are typically no lasting effects after successful treatment  Interested in adding a bit of royalty to your family? Story
Jet is a young, energetic pittie with a big heart and an even bigger need for structure. Like many teenage dogs in grown-up bodies, he’s still learning how to channel his enthusiasm in healthy ways. He struggles with separation anxiety and can be destructive when bored or under-stimulated — but with guidance, consistency, and proper outlets, he has so much potential. Jet loves people and truly wants to do the right thing. He’s smart, eager to engage, and thrives when given clear direction and positive reinforcement. He’ll need an adopter committed to working with our trainer to help him build confidence, independence, and good habits. This isn’t a “starter dog.” Jet is for someone who understands young, high-energy dogs and is ready to invest the time to help him succeed. In the right home, with structure and patience, Jet can absolutely grow into the loyal, steady companion he’s meant to be.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Hi, I’m Lainey I’m a brindle Mastiff with a huge heart and an even bigger love for people. I was underweight and recovering from a fractured pelvis, but I’ve healed up well and am doing great now. I won’t be running marathons, but I’m perfectly happy strolling a fenced yard and can climb stairs with no problems. I’m an affectionate, gentle giant who truly believes everyone is a friend. I love being with my people; whether that means following you from room to room or simply relaxing nearby. I’ve done well with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Pomeranians to large dogs like Belgian Malinois. Even if a dog startles me out of a sound sleep, I’ll only give them a big woof and then curl back up. I don’t enjoy being left alone and have shown my frustration by chewing on a pillow, my dog bed, and bending the crate I was in. If I need to be crated, I do best in a large, heavy-duty “lion-style” crate rather than a wire one. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to share life by your side, I might be your girl. Lainey currently weighs about 100lbs, is approximately 5-6 years old (est. birth date 04/27/2023), and her adoption fee is $315. Lainey has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Lainey, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
**You must live in Metro Atlanta to adopt her** Meet Olive: A Gentle Giant in the Making Olive is a 7 month old Saint Bernard puppy who is already tipping the scales at about 65 pounds, and she still has plenty of growing to do! True to her breed, she is soft, sensitive, and deeply devoted to her people. Olive is extremely dog friendly and REQUIRES another PLAYFUL dog in the home. She takes great comfort in canine companionship and loves to play, follow their lead, and simply be near them. Having a confident dog friend helps her feel safe and secure. With her humans, Olive is a total Velcro dog. She will follow you everywhere - yes, even to the bathroom - and happily curl up at your feet anytime you sit down. She has the sweetest disposition and is an absolute love bug once she feels safe. Olive is about 90% potty trained and doing very well, though she may have a couple of accidents in a brand-new environment while she settles into a routine. She walks beautifully on a leash when she's comfortable with you and enjoys calm, predictable outings. She REQUIRES a fenced in yard. Her biggest challenge is her nervousness with new people. Olive is not immediately social and can become overwhelmed by unfamiliar faces, especially if people approach her too quickly. When scared, she may growl to communicate discomfort. With time, patience, and respectful introductions, she does warm up and builds trust, but she needs adopters who understand shy, sensitive dogs and are willing to go at her pace. Because of this, Olive would do best in a quiet, adult only home or a home with adult children, not because she dislikes kids, but because frequent visitors, children’s friends, or a busy household would likely cause her to shut down emotionally. Olive also struggles with crate anxiety, so an ideal home would be with someone who is home more often than not and can avoid crating. She is extremely people oriented and thrives when she can stay close to her person. Olive is looking for a calm, patient, dog-savvy home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. In return, she will give unwavering loyalty, gentle affection, and the kind of quiet companionship that only a truly special dog can offer. If you’re searching for a sensitive soul who bonds deeply and loves with her whole heart, Olive may be your perfect match To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and deworming. She has consistently been on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative in our care.
