Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is another one of our babies who was found just wandering around a rural area in South Georgia. Locals reported seeing Winnie waiting at the bus stop for children each day but still no one ever came looking for her Winnie is a strikingly beautiful brindle girl, about 5 yrs old. She's very chill and would probably thrive as the Queen of her own Castle, but she does get along well with other dogs too. A nice quiet place to sun bathe outside and a comfy sofa with a soft blanket is what this lovely lady wants more than anything else! As is very common with most of the dogs we rescue from rural areas, Winnie did test positive for heartworm disease. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by a veterinary cardiologist in Atlanta. All treatment medications are provided and there are typically no lasting effects after successful treatment  Interested in adding a bit of royalty to your family? Story
Meet Redwood, a handsome 4-year-old Mastiff /Redbone Coonhound with a big personality and an even bigger love for people! Weighing about 74 lbs, this gentle boy is as friendly and loyal as they come -- a true people dog who adores being near his humans and sharing every moment of life by their side. Redwood has a wonderful, easygoing personality with a medium energy level that makes him the perfect mix of playful and calm. He loves to spend time outdoors -- running around the backyard, playing fetch, exploring on walks, or just lounging in the sun -- but he&#39s equally happy curling up for some cuddle time when the day winds down. He&#39s dog-friendly and great with kids, though because of his size and enthusiasm, he&#39d do best with older children who won&#39t get bowled over by his love. Redwood walks nicely on the leash and is learning new tricks every day -- he&#39s such a smart boy and eager to please! This sweet boy is crate and potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated -- all ready for his forever home. Redwood&#39s gentle, loyal nature makes him a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving best friend. Whether you&#39re enjoying a quiet evening at home or heading out for a walk, he&#39ll be right there beside you, happy just to be part of your world. Apply today to give Redwood a new home. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.January 25, 2026, 11:34 pm

Story
**You must live in Metro Atlanta to adopt her** Meet Olive: A Gentle Giant in the Making Olive is a 7 month old Saint Bernard puppy who is already tipping the scales at about 65 pounds, and she still has plenty of growing to do! True to her breed, she is soft, sensitive, and deeply devoted to her people. Olive is extremely dog friendly and REQUIRES another PLAYFUL dog in the home. She takes great comfort in canine companionship and loves to play, follow their lead, and simply be near them. Having a confident dog friend helps her feel safe and secure. With her humans, Olive is a total Velcro dog. She will follow you everywhere - yes, even to the bathroom - and happily curl up at your feet anytime you sit down. She has the sweetest disposition and is an absolute love bug once she feels safe. Olive is about 90% potty trained and doing very well, though she may have a couple of accidents in a brand-new environment while she settles into a routine. She walks beautifully on a leash when she's comfortable with you and enjoys calm, predictable outings. She REQUIRES a fenced in yard. Her biggest challenge is her nervousness with new people. Olive is not immediately social and can become overwhelmed by unfamiliar faces, especially if people approach her too quickly. When scared, she may growl to communicate discomfort. With time, patience, and respectful introductions, she does warm up and builds trust, but she needs adopters who understand shy, sensitive dogs and are willing to go at her pace. Because of this, Olive would do best in a quiet, adult only home or a home with adult children, not because she dislikes kids, but because frequent visitors, children’s friends, or a busy household would likely cause her to shut down emotionally. Olive also struggles with crate anxiety, so an ideal home would be with someone who is home more often than not and can avoid crating. She is extremely people oriented and thrives when she can stay close to her person. Olive is looking for a calm, patient, dog-savvy home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. In return, she will give unwavering loyalty, gentle affection, and the kind of quiet companionship that only a truly special dog can offer. If you’re searching for a sensitive soul who bonds deeply and loves with her whole heart, Olive may be your perfect match To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and deworming. She has consistently been on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative in our care.
