Story
Mollina is one of a kind. She's 67 lb , 3 years old and so beautiful. Currently, she lives in a foster's basement but she would really love a home where she could be around her people, cuddling in the evenings and sleeping in her crate at night. She is very smart and treat motivated. and knows an amazing number of commands. She shows no destructive behavior in the house. She like routines and would do best in a home that has structure, continues her training and gives her the time she deserves. She is highly treat motivated and very readable. When she is nervous, she chatters her teeth. She's shy with strangers but warms up quickly with treats. She doesn't like to share treats or toys with other dogs which is why she'd be best as an only pet for now. A knowledgeable adopter with another pet might be fine if they were willing to feed dogs separately and put toys away. Mollina loves her walks. The best way to have her meet new people or dogs from other households is on parallel walks. Mollina is an incredibly loving and loyal dog and she can't wait for a family that appreciates all she has to offer and understands her specific needs.  She's ready to move on up (from a basement into your home and heart.)   Learn more about her on her Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550516274924&mibextid=eQY6cl        Age: 3 years      Weight: 65 lb    Temperament: Good with older sturdy kids due to her size, tends to be leash reactive with dogs but gets along after slow intro   Training: Crate-trained, house training in progress and doing well.  Knows commands,  Sit, stay, come, heel, leave it, wait, place, head down, crate, go to sleep Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative    For questions, please email:   ElizFindsHomes@gmail.com  &#226&#128&#139   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
I adopted Ringo from a shelter back in October of 2021 after having lost my senior dog a few months prior. He had no training when I got him but I house trained him and taught him to sit, lay and even speak on command. He walks fine on a leash as long as you use his halter but he can still pull when he gets excited and at 115 pounds, he needs someone strong enough to hold onto him. He is very calm and easy going dog who mostly just wants to sleep and chill. He gets along great with dogs and cats. He has skin allergies but I keep it under control by feeding him Wholesome brand dog food and adding 2 pumps of fish oil to his food twice daily. He’s become my best friend and it kills me to rehome him but my fiance and I have been trying to find a place that will allow his breed for months now with no luck. If you feel that you can give Ringo a good home, please apply.

🐾 Meet Betty: Your Heart's New Furry Companion! 🐾 Hello there, kind soul! My name is Betty, and I have a story to share that I hope will touch your heart. Imagine a majestic Mastiff with striking black and white fur, weighing in at 104 pounds, and brimming with love. That's me – Betty. At 3 years old, I've seen a bit of life's ups and downs, but through it all, I've remained a beacon of love and hope. I found myself at the shelter on 03/13/2024, lost and alone, until the compassionate shelter staff took me in. Since then, I've been eagerly awaiting the chance to find a forever home – a place where I can share my boundless affection and playful spirit. Despite my size, I'm a gentle giant with a heart as big as my smile. Unfortunately, I am heartworm-positive at the moment, but that doesn't stop me from loving life to the fullest. And while I'm not yet spayed, I'm more than willing to undergo the procedure upon adoption, if that's your preference. My days are filled with sweet moments of joy and playfulness. I'm a big, goofy girl who loves nothing more than to romp around, chase after toys, and cuddle up for some quality snuggle time. Need a loyal companion to sit by your side? Look no further – I've mastered the art of sitting on command, ready to be your faithful friend. And here's the best part – all my shots are up to date, so you can rest assured knowing I'm healthy and happy, just waiting for you to take me home. So, what do you say? Are you ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend in need? Come visit me at cage 82, and let's see if we're meant to be together. My ID is 654244, but you can call me Betty – your future best friend and faithful companion. I'll be waiting with bated breath, hoping to share a lifetime of love and laughter with you. Story
Tank was rescued from the shelter after losing 30 lbs and giving up hope.  He was barely walking when he got to his foster home.  After starting 3 meals a day of high calorie food and obtaining a good assessment from the veterinarian, he is getting a new lease on life.  Tank is a beautiful mix breed large dog, brindle bull mastiff and hound.  He's about 5 years old.  He is crate trained and now that he feels better, has no accidents in the house.  If a tail wagging is any indication, he loves to be outdoors where his nose is always on the go when he's not playing fetch. In house he hangs out with his people, plays with an occasional squeaky toy and loves lounging in front of the window watching the world go by.  He is a handsome boy ready for a forever home.  At his proper weight he will be at about 90 lbs and will need an experienced owner who is willing to spend time with him on commands and providing direction.  He learned "sit" in his first week of foster. He will do best in an only dog situation and a fenced yard so he can enjoy "outdoor leisure". Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.We do not have a shelter facility and our pets are housed in foster homes, vet clinics and local boarding facilities. Many of our adoptable pets attend adoption events each Saturday at Mall of Georgia Petsmart in Buford, Georgia from 11:30-3:00 pm Please check with us to find out if a particular pet will be available. Dogs going to adoption event are typically posted on our Facebook page the day prior. Details about our adoption procedures can be seen at www.pupandcatco.com. March 26, 2024, 7:43 pm
