Story
Spike is a handsome brindle sweetheart who enjoys life at a calm, steady pace. Hes medium-energy, potty-trained, and manageable on leash especially once he gets into his groove. This independent guy loves a good sniffaroo and will happily explore every corner before checking in for head scratches.
Spike prefers to get to know you before leaning into cuddles, but once he trusts you, hes gentle, wiggly, and takes treats with the softest mouth. In playgroups, hes polite and easygoing, more of an observer who may join in light play once he feels comfortable.
If youre looking for a mellow companion who enjoys quiet company, slow strolls, and thoughtful affection, Spike is ready to be your loyal, steady friend.

Story
Hobbs has been raised with children however when a new infant was introduced to the household he has not adjusted after four months. He is 4 years old and has been our family dog since he was a puppy. He knows basic commands and is house broken. We hope to find him a home that has no children since he is not accepting the baby. He is a lazy dog and snores most of the day. He barks at the door to go out. He loves car rides. He weights about 180 and will pull a bit when walking but he does listen to commands such as wait, sit, down as well as hand signals. He is used to being with me all day and does experience some anxiety to include whining and waiting by the door if we leave for a vacation and is left with a family member. We really hope to find someone who will love him like we do. If you think you may be the perfect parent please let us know of any questions.

Story
'Courtesy Post' This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting with placing their pet. MEET 'BROTHER' Brother has been completely vetted which includes microchipping, neutering, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccine, heartworm testing, heartworm and flea prevention and completed deworming. Brother is a very sweet boy! He is very active and loves hiking and being outdoors. He is super playful and LOVES water! He has a very unique story that is very compelling and heartfelt. We are extremely grateful that we could help this precious family in need and feel honored to have had the opportunity to work along side his foster family. Brother was being fostered by a license and trained dog trainer and animal care foster. She named him from the movie ' brother where art thou'. His foster /trainer worked day and night to train him, foster him with adequate care and be a advocate for him finding his forever home. Unfortunately, his foster was brutally attacked by a man she was trying to help. He has caused intensive suffering, pain, trauma and irreversible damage to her body and spirit. Although our shelter stays very full especially with larger breed dogs.....I knew I had to help this amazing family. I also wanted to take the load off of the family with uncertainty where Brother may go and be cared for at. .. allowing their family to focus on recovery. The family has been outstanding and so generous in the darkest times. I feel honored to be apart of this journey. Brother is a outstanding boy! He is very smart and would make a incredible addition to a home and family. If you love being outdoors and dog cuddles this boy is for you! Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions. Adoption fee is $300 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet. June 4, 2026, 3:41 pm

Story
Please contact Tammy for more information about this pet.Easy-going family manA Letter from Hector To My Future Family… Hi, it’s me—Hector. You may not know me yet, but I’ve been waiting for you. I’m 10 years old, around 70 lbs, and I’ve spent the last 3 years hoping someone like you would come along. I’ve had homes before… some good, some not so much. I’ve been returned, lost, and forgotten. Once, I even walked myself back to the shelter gates because, deep down, I knew I deserved better. And I still believe I do. I’m not asking for much—just a soft place to land and someone who means it when they say “forever.” I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and I know my commands. I also just got a great health report from the vet. Aside from a little arthritis, I'm healthy as a horse. Yeehaw! I love snuggles, slow strolls, and feeling like I belong. I’m gentle with people and can live with sturdy kids. I get along with some dog friends too—just no cats, please. My caretaker says I’m loyal, low-key, and full of love. I just need a home where I can finally exhale and know I’m safe. Where I can lay my head down and not worry about being left again. So if you're out there—my person, my family—please come find me. I've waited a long time, but I still believe you're coming. Love, Hector See my latest videos: bit.ly/findhector Questions? adopt@doggieharmony.org Apply to adopt: www.doggieharmony.org (click Forms) Even if you can’t adopt Hector, please share his story.
