Story
Douglas is 3 years old and the absolute sweetest dog, he absolutely loves cuddling, he's good with kids , gets a little to excited around babies but he does love them. He's also kennel trained. I need to re-home one of my dogs because they really don't like each other. Douglas is very tolerant but after so much bullying by other dog he's defending himself. I need him to go to a loving home!

Story
This is Bo he's the biggest sweetheart we've had him his whole life and sad we have to do this but it's what needs done. Hes the biggest sweetheart and loves kids of all ages. Hes potty trained and kennel trained. He knows basic commands and does good on the leash. He will need kenneled when no one is home he will come with his kennel. He dose great with other dogs expect males he was attacked as a pup by another male dog and since then he hasn't done good with them. Hes great with cats and other little critters just likes to try to play with them. About a year ago we had some no longer friends watch him because of financial problems and when we got him back it was clear they were hitting him so he does flinch but has gotten so much better. PLEASE HELP ME FIND HIM A LOVING HOME.

Story
Baxter, a mix of Mastiff and Pitbull, is urgently on the search for the perfect family who can understand and cater to his needs. Adapting to unfamiliar situations may frighten him a bit; however, with the right amount of time alongside a responsible and patient guide, Baxter has managed to trust some our staff and others but is fearful of most. He might not realize his large size or the dominance his loud bark reflects could seem intimidating, but with a loving family, he is more than ready to adapt. Our journey with Baxter has included teaching him how to play. Yes, it's been a bit of an uphill task as he tends to engage in rough play, but observing his continuous progress while he's been with us, sparks hope. We hope that Baxter will soon find a home where he perfectly belongs!

Story
Libby is a two-year-old Caucasian Shepherd that was found as a stray. She does have a permanent health condition that makes her Special Needs. We noticed right away that she has a strange gait and we were concerned, so she saw a specialist. The tests showed some undetermined neurological issues and arthritis, as well as dysplasia in all four limbs. This causes her to walk in a wobbly way. These things do not stop this determined, lovable girl ,though. She will &#194&#147run&#194&#148 around the yard and play with the kids, and chew on bones all day long. She is a very unique dog that will need a particular home to spend the rest of her life in. There are some specific requirements for her to safely walk aruond. Minimal stairs, and carpet or a lot of area rugs. The home will also need a gated yard with open access to the door, such as a sliding door, French doors, or a door that is not on a landing or down steps. Most importantly, she needs a home with all the love and kisses to give to her! Regular trips to the groomer Libby is great with kids and has been in her foster home for a few months with 9, 7, and 3 year old kids. She also is currently living with two other large breed dogs. She would likely do best in a home with non guardian breeds, and has not been around smaller dogs. She has only been around cats once that we know of, and she didn't seem like a huge fan of them. Libby is currently on an anti-inflammatory medication twice a day, potentially for the rest of her life, cost is around $60-$70 a month. She is a big girl and with that also comes lots of food. She eats about 7-8 cups of food a day, and the water bowl will always need refilling. Libby is just a big cuddly bear that needs all the love she can get. Please contact us if you have questions or would like an application to adopt. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**May 2, 2024, 4:56 pm
