He will love to cuddle on the couch with you and for sure, he'll want your ear scratches. Giovanni is also a very polite boy. He will only cuddle on the couch with you if invited. He never jumps up on anyone. He also loves being in his crate and sleeping on his comfy bed and chewing his toys. Then he's happy to play fetch and take slow walks in the sun. He leash-walks very well, staying right next to his foster's side and never pulling. At home, this gentle, funny boy plops down in his bed to relax. He also understands "sit and is house-trained. Joker is in APA!'s Total Obedience Program (TOP), which is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, he has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help him learn skills like sit and down, walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "place", which means he will go to a specific place in your home on command. Joker is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with him after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Rock has endured some really rough times living completely outdoors, but that`s behind him now and he`s started the journey to a new life. Will you be the one to help him reach his destination? Rock`s very friendly with everyone he`s met, passes by other dogs with ease, he`s even gone to some basics classes and has been on a few fun outings where he showed himself to be so well behaved. Meet Penny! She needs a foster home with option of foster to adopt. Penny is a gentle giant who TRAPRS rescued a few months ago. Penny had been shot and dumped with a broken leg. After rescuing her, our team fundraised for her surgery and she’s just had her last procedure and is feeling good as new! Penny is the ideal companion as she just wants to be near you. However, she’s also willing to wait very patiently while you’re away or busy. She’s potty trained and is trained to be crate-free in the home & does well while left unattended. She is completely unaware of her size and strength, and although with good intentions her zoomies could topple a grown adult! For that reason, Penny will need to be in a home with no children or teenage and above. She needs an experienced large dog owner! - no cats - fenced yard - children 13+ - experience with large breeds
