Meet Unity!  Unity is almost 2 years old and came to Chi Town Rescue with two other kennel mates from a hoarding situation.  She is now looking for her furever home.   Unity is a fun dog that gets along with the other small dogs at the rescue but she doesn't like large dogs.  Cats are unknown.  She enjoys going out to the play yard.  And she doesn't mind chilling out in her kennel when she's done playing.  She'll also sit up on her back legs when she knows you have a treat to give her.  She loves belly rubs!! Hi!! My name is Tre, short for Trevon. My rescue mommy tells me I am about 5 1/2 years old according to my old owner. I've been here in rescue for a long time because people don't think I am the "perfect" dog to fit their household. You see, when I was younger the world was a big scary place to me and I trusted no one. I was fearful of everything and it would cause me to have extreme anxiety to the point that i would get so scared I would nip. I've grown up a lot since then, you know, now that I'm a 5 year old I can better handle myself. I am still high strung because that's my breed trait so no getting around that! And I at times can be hesitant in an uncertain situation but I react to things much better than I used to. Once I get to know you and learn to trust you I will gladly come sit on your lap or lay beside you for pets and I of course may sneak in a couple kisses. I still am not thrilled about someone trying to grab me or pick me up by surprise and to the grooming ladies who try to touch my nails...yeah, I don't like that much. I may take a bit longer to settle into a new environment than your typical dog, but once I do, I will be the most loyal companion you can ask for. Please read up and understand the Min Pin breed and you will know what to expect with me. If you think you have enough patience to get me over the hump to be able to trust you, please give me a chance. Contact my rescue momma and tell her you'd like to meet me and she will tell you tips and tricks that will help with the transition. I am neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines. I will need a fenced backyard.
