Story
Hello. I am looking to rehome my sweet old boy Sparq. He is a miniature pinscher mix. He has been good to my family but unfortunately we are moving and can’t take him with us. He was originally adopted from SPCA in early 2020. He was 8 years old at time of adoption. He has a microchip and I he just got a rabies vaccine January 2026. Although he’s an older dog, he still has the energy of a young dog and people mistake him for a puppy all the time. He is potty trained to go outside but will go in the house if he is left alone for 6+ hours and has no other choice. He will let you know if he needs to go potty by whimpering near the door. I have had 2 kids since owning Sparq and have had ZERO issues with my kids which are now ages 2 and 4. He loves to go on walks and gets super excited as soon as you he sees you pull out the leash/harness. He mostly naps through the day but will never deny a chance to go outside.

Story
Chiki is an approximately 7 year old mix of various terrier breeds and chihuahua. We rescued Chiki when we saw him get abandoned on the American River Trail. While we brought him to the shelter, he endeared himself with his cute face and cuddles, so we adopted him. We're no longer the best family for Chiki for a few reasons- he seems allergic to something in our household, and we have young children so we just don't have enough time to spend with him. Chiki's best traits: -Loves to cuddle 24/7 -Smart, he knows many tricks and learns quickly -Very food motivated -Will keep rats and mice away from your house -Ok with other small dogs Other things to know: -Chiki can be anxious, especially when people leave, but he's ok once you're gone -He's allergic to something in our house, causing skin and ear infections -He can be territorial The best situation for Chiki would be people who want a close companion that will curl up and cuddle them and who have time to spend with Chiki.

NOTE:Submit the adoption interest application directly at our HSNB website:https://www.hsnb.org/dog-adoption-applicationWe may not receive anything submitted through PetFinder or Adopt-A-Pet! If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----This happy, energetic Chi/Terrier mix has lots of joy and love to give! His previous owner passed away, so the owner's children surrendered him to us. Now he's looking for a second chance at a forever home. Lil Man loves toys, plays fetch, and enjoys walks! He is generally not reactive towards other dogs. He plays really well with our active little Jane! Shelter staff believe that he might have been teased in his previous, so he does get very stressed when people look/stare at him too long. He's a quirky funny boy, but he'll need someone willing to take the time to help him get comfortable and gain confidence. Because of his past, staff thinks he would do best in an adult-only home.If you're looking for a fun-sized playful best friend, Lil Man may just be your guy!Check out Lil Man's latest profile video here!https://www.hsnb.org/youtube-lilman-16688Lil Man's adoption fee is $250 . Story
Willa: 5 yr old black & rust female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 13 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter. "Meet Willa: a shy-sweet Mini Pin who loves lap cuddles, canine friends, and making sure her human is never too far away." Willa is a 5-year-old, 13 lb Miniature Pinscher with a soft heart and the sweetest shy-girl charm. Once she warms up, she loves nothing more than curling up in her human's lap — her absolute favorite place to be. She's not overly clingy, though. As long as she can see her person, she's perfectly content to relax nearby. But if Willa can't get to you or keep you in sight, she'll sound the alarm with full Mini Pin enthusiasm to let you know she needs reassurance. (She takes her role as Emotional Security Officer very seriously!) Willa gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. She has not been tested with cats or children, as her foster home does not have either, so those interactions are currently unknown. Willa is currently in California and is available for adoption within California, or possibly an adjacent state. We do not ship or fly dogs, so adopters must be able to travel to meet and adopt her. With a patient, loving family who appreciates her gentle spirit and endearing quirks, Willa will blossom into a devoted and loving companion. If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive little girl who wants to feel safe, seen, and loved, Willa may be your perfect match. Note: Willa is located in Springville, CA - and we will not fly this girl. If you wish to adopt, please fill out our IMPS Min Pin Adoption Application If you have previously submitted an Application form, there is no need to re-apply. Story
Iris: 5 yr old blue & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 14.5", 12 lb. Rescued from shelter. Meet Iris! Iris has blossomed into the sweetest little min pin girl. She loves basking in the sun (who doesn't), playing with squeaky toys, getting pets and cuddles from her people and sleeping overnight cuddled under the covers. She can be suspicious when meeting new people and new dogs but warms up quickly especially if treats are involved. Iris knows the basics and is quick to please. She knows "come" and "sit", she's pretty good at "wait" and has just mastered the doggie door. She is housetrained and will use pee pads if she cannot access outside. She will bark at new noises or strangers but does not go on about it. As she is a rare blue girl, she does have some alopecia issues and we are working with our vet to see how we can get some of her bare spots to grow in and reduce her itching. Where her fur is undisturbed, she is very soft and the fur has a gorgeous silver glow. Iris is just such a perfect, sweet, little companion that wants nothing more than to be worshipped and adored. She is fun, drop dead gorgeous and very, very cuddly. We are looking for a home in Northern California and preferably with a yard for her to play and enjoy sunshine in. If you think that Iris is your girl, please submit your application and we can see if you are a match. Note: Iris is located in Montara, CA - and we will not fly this girl. If you wish to adopt, please fill out our IMPS Min Pin Adoption Application If you have previously submitted an Application form, there is no need to re-apply.
