Story
Meet our sweet TicTac! TicTac is a 5 year old, 18 lb Chihuahua / Min Pin mix. We rescued TicTac from a high-kill shelter in Houston TX, where he was up for euthanasia due to lack of space in the shelter. Luckily, we got him out just in time to spare his life, and we are so thankful we did because this boy is the sweetest cuddle bug!
TicTac will do really well in a home where he’s showered with love, affection and attention. He’s a mellow little guy who thrives on snuggling and naps.

"This boy has been SO good!!! He is totally house trained, doesn't bark at all inside the home, and is so snuggly!!! He is a major snuggler and literally just SO sweet!!!
He loves walks and walks great on a leash. He is hesitant with strange men, and may bark at them at first, but he warms up after a few hours when given some treats. He did well with my husband and 12 year old son after they gave him some treats and helped him realize they were safe.
He is sweet with other dogs and lives well with our dog (a big poodle mix). He is so so so sweet, we are loving fostering him!!!"

TicTac's new family needs to have the motivation, energy and open heart for a little rescue dog. New rescue dogs require training and tons of love to nurture a positive attitude about the world. In return TicTac will be a loyal and loving best friend and the greatest lap (or couch) dog ever. When this adorable pup falls in love, he falls hard. He gives 100% of himself to his relationships with both his people and his canine companions.
Since TicTac is curious and super-smart dog, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. TicTac will form firm bonds with his family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a dog's's ultimate behavior and in his relationship and bonding with his people. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior.
Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement / force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt TicTac out to a home that doesn't choose to offer him this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual or in-person trainers in your area.
TicTac has been fully vetted and vaccinated to adhere to Farfel's protocol of only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to support Farfel's commitment to a future world where dogs are never euthanized for space.
