Story
Penny is a 5 year old maybe Min Pin/Chihuhua mix (or maybe just one or the other?) weighing about 9lbs.  Penny was brought to a shelter in Texas because she had a leg injury her owners couldn't/wouldn't pay for.  They surrendered her to the shelter, where they were able to diagnose her with a broken leg.  She was then transferred to a vet that operated on her leg, fixing the break.  She recovered in a wonderful foster home in Texas and then was transported here to find a forever family.  Here is what Penny's foster Momma has to say about her: "Penny is such an easy going, loving little dog.  She is going to make a wonderful addition to any family. She wants nothing more than to be near you even if its a bed next to your desk.  She will follow you everywhere, and nothing makes her happier than to sit in your lap - movie night is her favorite. She loves to snuggle with her humans in bed at night, and tends to get super excited when she first gets into bed cuz she knows cuddle time is coming!  She is totally fine around my bigger dogs and has started to play a little with my dog Charlie.  She is truly just friendly with everybody.  She sometimes coo's, especially when getting ready for bed, and will do little circle dances, which are adorable.  She has never messed in the house, but we do let her out pretty frequently.  She seems to be pretty smart!" Story
Meet Mochi, a sweet, adorable Chiweenie who's ready to find the family she belongs with. At around 3 and a half years old, Mochi is happiest when she's learning, exploring, and spending time with her people. She loves sniffing adventures, food puzzles, training sessions, cozy naps under blankets, and chewing on her favorite Nylabones. She already knows an impressive list of cues, is crate and house trained, and thrives with positive reinforcement training. Mochi is incredibly people-oriented and enjoys meeting new friends, especially when introductions happen thoughtfully. She currently lives happily with another dog and loves to wrestle, play, and snuggle with doggy friends she knows well. Mochi can be selective about sharing high-value resources (treats, bully sticks, etc.) so any introductions to another resident dog should be done with that in mind and feeding should continue to be managed separately. Mochi is looking for an active, adult-only home where she can enjoy plenty of enrichment, daily walks, and opportunities to use her amazing nose. She would be an excellent candidate for scent work, trick training, or other dog sports, and she loves having a job to do. A calm, predictable home with people committed to continuing her positive reinforcement training will allow her to truly flourish. Like every dog, Mochi has a few things she's still working on, including feeling more comfortable around unfamiliar dogs while on leash and settling around visitors when they enter the home. Because she has shown discomfort around young children, she is seeking a home without infants or toddlers. In return, her future family will gain an incredibly loyal, intelligent companion who is eager to learn, loves to cuddle, and has so much potential to become an amazing lifelong adventure partner. We'd like to place Mochi in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Mochi is up to date on her vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out 400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
0726029 - Hello! Rocket here, and I’m on the lookout for my forever family. I may be a little guy— just under 20 pounds—but I’m 20 pounds of pure love, fun, and enthusiasm. I’m super friendly, and I never miss a chance to give doggie kisses. I’m also a smart boy: I use the doggie door like a pro, and I love to play fetch. The best part? I even drop the ball so my foster mom can throw it again… and again… and again. I currently live with a Pit Bull mix, a Shepherd mix, a bossy Chihuahua, and an adorable Beagle puppy. I especially love playing with the puppy and the Chihuahua—we chase each other, play with toys, and run around until we’re completely worn out. Walks are another favorite of mine. I get so excited at first that I can be a little wiggly and spastic, but if you’re patient with me, I settle in and enjoy every minute. I’m also housetrained and sleep nicely in a crate, though I’d really prefer to snooze close to you if you’ll let me. That’s me in a nutshell! If you’re looking for a tiny bundle of joy, affection, and playful energy, please apply for me at www.SloppyKisses.org/adoptions! I can’t wait to meet the family who will love me forever. ##2796010##

Story
Meet Sharon aka Minnie! Meet Sharon! At just 10 months old and around 50 pounds, Sharon is the perfect mix of sass and snuggles! This happy-go-lucky Doberman Min Pinscher mix has never met a stranger—whether you're a human or a fellow pup, she's convinced you're her new best friend. Sharon is an enthusiastic social butterfly who believes life is one big playdate. She loves romping with other dogs, though her excitement can be a little overwhelming for more calm or reserved canine companions. If there's a game to be played, Sharon will happily recruit everyone to join the fun! This athletic girl is always ready for adventure. Whether it's chasing a tennis ball in an epic game of fetch, hitting the trails for a long hike, or splashing around in the water, Sharon is happiest when she's on the move. She's already showing signs that she could become quite the water dog! After a day full of adventures, Sharon is more than happy to trade her zoomies for cuddle time with her favorite people. She's affectionate, goofy, and full of personality, making every day brighter with her infectious enthusiasm. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who's equal parts playful, loving, and entertaining, Sharon is ready to bring endless smiles—and maybe a few happy tail wags—to your home!
