Story
My stepdaughter got Rocky and was going to take him with her. However, she later decided she was not going to have time to take care of Rocky and left him with me. I already have a dog and a cat and can’t take care of another dog. Rocky is a 2 year old miniature pinscher that weights 20 lbs. I believe he might be mixed with Manchester terrier but his paper work only says miniature pinscher. Rocky is very sweet and energetic. He has gotten along great with both my dog and cat. He loves to be walked. Rocky will bark when he needs to go outside to do his business.

Story
FELIX IS AVAILABLE AS A FOSTER ONLY IF THE APPLIANT HAS THE INTENTION TO ADOPT IF IT IS THE RIGHT FIT. Felix is an approximately 2 and 1/2 year-old male min-pin who comes to PAWS from a CT animal control where he was picked up as stray. Felix is a friendly little guy who is good around other dogs. His worst quality is his resource guarding. The poor pup has had a rough time. His first adopter who got him from the animal control brought him into bed with her from day 1 which led to him guarding the bed and lashing out. His 2nd adopter wanted to bring him on his UberEats deliveries but Felix was not a fan of being taken in an out of the car multiple times a day. We thought he hit the jackpot with his 3rd adopter. She followed all of our protocols with crate training and respecting his boundaries and he settled in so well. He did great for 3 months until she suddenly moved into a new shared residence which raised his anxiety levels. She was told she could not keep him and abandoned him at a local animal control. Despite all of this Felix was happy to greet all of his old friends at PAWS. He can be an affectionate and friendly guy. He just needs consistency and someone who will not let him get away with any unfavorable behavior. He will do wonderfully again with an adopter who is comfortable following our protocol of crate training him and containing his prized possessions to his crate Felix requires an owner who is comfortable asserting him/herself as the alpha in the relationship, otherwise he thinks he is the one in charge! Although he plays well with other dogs, due to his resource guarding, a household without another dog or cat would probably be best for him. Felix is microchipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Demon came with the name, but he definitely could use a new, more fitting one in his new forever home! He is about 3 to 5yrs old and has some vision impairments. He is a love bug and loves to be with his people once he gets to know you. Demon is quirky and will need someone patient and experienced with "little dog syndrome". He is good with other dogs. No children. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application on our website and an officer will be in touch! www.naugatuckanimalcontrol.com

Story
Jimmy Chew, previously Tom, was adopted from us as a tiny puppy and returned now due to changes in the condo pet policy. Here is what the previous owner wrote: His personality is very playful and when he's done playing w his toys, he'll wanna cuddle up and go to sleep against your legs. He's not a barker and i'd say he's 99% -100% potty trained considering he hasn't had any accidents in my apt in the last month. He understands the commands "sit and "no and loves "good boy! hahah. I feed him everyday at 9am and 5pm (1 cup of dry food and I mix some wet food in as well). He grew up in nyc so he's very unbothered by noises and loves meeting new people on our walks. He loves people and other dogs, as he has many friends at the dog park. in all he really is the perfect dog Apply for Jimmy at allpawsondeck.org He now looks like a Rat Terrier mix and he is 30lbs Apply for Tom at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to adopt $600 Adoption Fee; $100 spay/neuter deposit Located in Griswold, CT To adopt you must - Fill out an application at allpawsondeck.org - all your pets must be spayed / neutered and up to date - We can't adopt to MA residents due to State Laws.
