Spuds is a 2 year old male Miniature Pinscher mix who weighs around 14 lbs. Spuds was abandoned on a property outside the city limits and was underweight and timid upon being rescued. He has turned into such a sweet and snuggly little guy. If he's not curled up with one of the other dogs, he likes to snuggle under the covers in bed at night time. Spuds plays well with dogs of all sizes and likes to run in the yard with them. Spuds is neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. Story
Gideon is a 6 year old neutered male who was found as a local stray. Friendly, energetic, and sweet, Gideon is a fun dog who enjoys going on walks and romping around in the yard. He loves a good blanket and sometimes scares the staff by snuggling so deep into a comforter that we don't realize he's there! Gideon has a food allergy and will need to be on a strictly fish-based diet, but he's not picky with his food and has been more than happy with the adjustment. He could live with a dog-savvy cat and is selective about other dogs, so he may do best with a canine companion content to leave him alone. First, my reason for rehoming 5-6 yr old, 13 lb. Simon is not due to expenses; there simply was not a good choice of options in the menu. After close to 3 years, he has never bonded with me. Simon seems depressed, and he is still skittish with me. He is wary of people and dogs he has not met, but with each exposure, he relaxes. I know he has the capacity to bond as there is one woman and her dog he is absolutely obsessed with, and it was instantaneous. We have known them for over 2 years, through a dog park we visit regularly. And because I want him to see his buddies, I continue going to the park twice a week even though I moved 20 miles away over a year ago. He is low maintenance in every way. He could definitely use more activity, as I have a bad knee from an accident last March, and am unable to walk him for more than 15-20 minutes. I think a gentle small companion and maybe a fenced yard would be a bonus. Could you be his “dog whisperer”? He so deserves love & happiness.

trixie is tricky. She is shy to the point of almost being feral and she will not allow much handling if any. if we can crate her and get her to her new home that is the way it will work for her. Otherwise she will stay here for the rest of her days. Other than that she is easy and quiet and quite intelligent.

Story
Jack is a sweet senior min pin from LA Shelter. He's almost completely blind and when he arrived he was depressed and confused and overweight but no more. He is relaxed, made himself at home and a very sweet old dog. And confident. Love that breed when they decide to let us see their personalities and they do tend to just keep on going. Given his age you need to take him out to do his business but he is housetrained. Jack is one old dog who was left in a home in Gardena after an owner died. Found with a live cat and two dead cats and just all around awful place we pulled him to safety. Horrible horrible just another one of many in a place where animals like the trash, are left behind.
