This 8-month-old spitfire is a Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua Pinscher mix with the heart of a lap dog and the confidence of a dog three times her size. Sassy is whip-smart (she's already figuring out the humans around her faster than they're figuring her out) and endlessly affectionate — she'll happily curl up in your lap one minute and zoom around the room the next like she's got somewhere very important to be. Spoiler: she doesn't. She just has a lot of opinions and a lot of energy. She's looking for a family who appreciates a dog with personality — someone who'll match her enthusiasm on walks, laugh at her antics, and give her plenty of love (which she will return tenfold). These poor puppies were living outside and arrived covered in fleas and battling intestinal worms. Despite their rough start, Bubbles is ready to leave that chapter behind and find her happy-ever-after! Bubbles is expected to stay on the smaller side and has more of that sweet, easygoing personality, and a lap girl. She loves attention, playing, giving kisses, and being close to her people. She’s still a puppy, so her new family should be prepared to continue working on training, manners, and all the important lessons that come with growing up. Other dogs are one of Archie’s favorite things and he loves to play chase, wrestle and keep the fun moving. His play style is enthusiastic and physical, so his best canine match would be a confident, playful dog who enjoys the same rough-and-rowdy approach. A well-matched playmate could be a wonderful source of companionship, confidence and exercise for him. Archie is also cat-friendly and has lived with a cat in his foster home. When he met our house cat, the two became immediate friends! He will likely want to play, so an interactive, dog-social cat would be his ideal match. Even in his excitement, Archie was mindful of his petite body, kept his invitations friendly, and knows how to take breaks. For all his confidence, he is still a gorowing and learninng pup so we have seen occasions where his approach is cautious and slow. He may need a little encouragement when first leaving his crate, getting out of the car or stepping into an unfamiliar space. A little sweet talk and he easily remembers that life is good! He is never short on sweetness, he simply likes a moment to understand what is happening. Once settled, Archie is friendly, affectionate and eager to be part of everything. Archie is house and crate trained, rides well in the car and has a nice foundation of basic leash skills. He may occasionally pause when something feels unfamiliar or pull excitedly when he spots a familiar canine friend. At his young age, he is still learning, growing and figuring out the world, and continued positive experiences will help his confidence keep pace with his playful spirit. An active home would be a fantastic match for Archie. He has the athleticism to join you on morning runs or just tagging along for hikes or walks to the bus. Belly rubs. She’ll roll right over, close her eyes, and fully soak up every second. As long as love and pets are coming her way, Lua is happy. But this dream girl hasn’t always had the life she deserves. Lua was dumped on the side of the road while pregnant. She eventually gave birth near a restaurant, where she survived by eating scraps out of the trash while caring for her babies. What makes her story even more heartbreaking is that it was very obvious Lua had once been someone’s dog. And somehow, after all of that, she is still pure sweetness. At only 13 lbs, she’s the perfect little size with a calm, chill personality. She doesn’t ask for much—just someone to love, a safe place to land, and, of course, unlimited belly rubs.
