Story
Meet Olympia, a pint-sized princess with a heart of gold! This sweet, soulful young lady's main objective in life is to give her loved ones lots of love, kisses, and cuddles. While we don't know her exact breed, she looks to be a mix of miniature pinscher and Italian greyhound, while her personality characteristics strongly favor the Italian greyhound -- loyal, affectionate, intelligent, calm, and gentle. Olympia may be shy and submissive when first meeting new people, though she learns to trust quickly and becomes a loyal companion and cuddlebug to both human and four-legged friends. One of her favorite pastimes is simply lounging -- you'll likely find her on a couch, burrowed in a blanket, or laying in the grass or on the patio soaking up the sun. She doesn't require a lot of exercise or playtime, but she has grown to love a good walk around the neighborhood! Overall Olympia is a quiet gal, though her foster mom reports she'll give "girly grumbles" when she wants attention or is ready for her dinner. She's food motivated and eager to please. All Olympia needs love and attention, so she would be great in any apartment or home setting. Interested in making her a part of your family? Olympia is being fostered in the Austin area and ready for meet and greets! *Her adoption fee is $200 if adopted in the Austin, TX area, if transported, the total fee would be $400.* If you want to meet Olympia please fill out our application. https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-fosteraround the neighborhood. 💕

Story
Macaroni is a quiet little observer who prefers cozy corners, gentle routines, and the comfort of a calm home. Macaroni is a soft-hearted, thoughtful boy who enjoys the quiet side of life. This gentle soul loves having a cozy spot to relax while he takes in the world around him — his favorite places are in bedroom closets, crates with blankets, or corners with beds where he can feel safe and watch the world from a distance. Macaroni is still learning that new people can be trusted, so he appreciates a home that will move at his pace and give him space to settle in. While he’s not quite ready for hands-on affection yet, he’s already making progress and gaining confidence every day. One thing that helps Macaroni feel more comfortable is the presence of other dogs. He does well with calm canine friends and would likely enjoy having a steady dog companion to help show him the ropes and remind him that life can be pretty great. He enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world, usually taking things at his own relaxed pace. A quiet neighborhood and predictable routine will help him feel his best. On walks, he is your shadow, sticking close to his new best friend for confidence. When his person is away, Macaroni settles nicely in his crate and is potty trained, so no worries about leaving him for a while. Macaroni may not be the type of dog who rushes up for attention right away — but for someone who understands shy dogs, the journey of watching him grow and gain confidence will be incredibly special. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, Macaroni has all the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal companion.
