Story
**Frank is a mixed-breed dog and we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly.**   Meet Frank, aka Mr. Personality! Frank is a 4-year-old cutie pie who is the epitome of a social butterfly. He wants to make friends with everyone he meets and is eager to crawl in your lap and cover you in kisses. He is the perfect little sidekick to be right by your side for whatever the day holds. Frank is fully grown and weighs about 10lbs. Frank was found as a stray with his buddy, Beans, and brought to the local animal shelter. They both were in horrible condition and were covered in mats and foxtails. A local groomer offered her services, and now he feels much better with his new haircut. Frank and Beans are not bonded and we think they would do best being adopted separately. Frank is a happy little man who loves to be the center of attention. His ideal day would be spent cuddling with his favorite people and getting yummy treats. He seems to have lived in a home before but doesn't seem to have had any training, so he will need a family committed to working on his basic manners with him. We have found that while Frank is a total lap dog, he also is a great little running buddy and does great keeping pace and sticking right by your side. Frank seems like he would like to be your one and only fur kid. He thinks kitties are a little too fun to chase, but may do okay with dog-savvy cats with some training and management. Frank has previously lived with kids and would make a wonderful addition to a family with kids 5 years or older. Frank has been doing well with his housetraining, but his new family should keep an eye on him while he is adjusting to a new environment and routine. Frank has done well being crated at night and when home alone. Due to his fur type, Beans requires frequent grooming. His new family should be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to learn to ensure his coat is properly maintained. Frank is such a sweet boy and we know his perfect family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!     Frank's adoption fee is $350.     Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
Eddie decided to run for freedom on the Fourth of July and was rescued by a nice woman in a parking lot. His feet were covered in stickers and what appeared to be tar. His ears had fox tails down deep to his eardrums and he had multiple bald patches on his body. That didn’t stop him from being a very sweet little doggy. Eddie is a non shedding, young senior of 9 years. He’s pretty active and playful with other dogs. So far he seems to ignore cats. He’s an adorable little 12 lb. miniature poodle and possibly Maltese mix. He loves the great outdoors. He’s a good alert dog. He does not shed and he’s fine with being groomed. He’s neutered, housebroken, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative and his adoption fee is $500. If interested or if you have any questions please go to littlepawsdoggierescue.org.

Story
Ollie is sweet, smart, harmless, friendly, and quiet. He can jump catch a small ball. Ollie is 9.5 years old. This breed is expected to live 15+ years old. Ollie needs a new LOVING home. Ollie would bark very loudly at unknown people and dogs, and jump towards large vehicles that made him nervous. He should not use a retractable leash; only a controllable medium size leash should be used to avoid any danger; wear a harness so he won't get hurt when he does try to jump, always on lease when walk outside. Ollie can easily climb up to counter stools and sneak onto the kitchen counter for food. When you see this, please leave the stool as is so that he can get back down safely. He looked so innocent. Ollie is nervous when riding in a car and often won't stays in one place, so he always needs a kennel when traveling. A kennel will go with him for free. Ollie is ok with similar size dog. An experienced dog owner only, not for first time dog owner. Not for apartment living.

Story
George is a good-looking, cute dog. Geroge can do a roll for rewards. George is 11.5 years old. This breed is expected to live 15+ years old or longer. George needs an experienced and not for first time dog owner, and need a new loving home. George enjoys foods. Don't give George eat more than his meal, or he will gain weight easily. Walk him twice a day in the morning and evening for 10-20 minutes each. Let him out to pee at noon, late afternoon (optional), and before bed. Keep this routine. George wears a harness, not a collar. Be patient with George since he takes after the more Pekingese side, can be a little stubborn. Always give him some time to make up his mind. George does not like to be touched unexpectedly. Let him comes to you willingly. He did bite someone's finger at the dog hotel when a caretaker reached for him suddenly in the early morning, around 4 AM, about 2 years ago. George should be rehomed to a no-kids home. George is not for apartment living.

Story
Charles is a sugar sweet senior who is looking for the kind and compassionate home that will spoil him the way he deserves. He came to us in terrible condition and was immediately rushed to the vet, where we began treatment for his skin issues and mouth and eye infections. His teeth unfortunately were too neglected to be saved, and all needed to be pulled. He has made a fantastic recovery, and now that he is free of the pain and discomfort he was suffering, he is a happy and joyful pup! He loves to sniff and explore on walks, and will always greet you with a wagging tail and big toothless smile. He gets along well with other dogs and would fit right in to an easygoing and caring home that will give him the attention and care he craves. Apply for him today! Adoption donation is $195.

Meet Prince. Found as a in stray in Lanthrop, Prince was taken in by a good samaritan and brough to Family Dog Rescue where he is learning that people are a good source of treats. He is also warming up to being handled and once he relaxes loves a good scratch and a nice lap. This young dog will do great in a home that understands he is a little shy, but with enough love and kindness will shine as the good boy we know he can be.
