Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This brother/sister duo is quite the team.  They are so happy with each other, they just play, play, play.  I will be getting a video of them playing that I will be able to text to anyone interested. Yes, they were born in the same litter, the black one is a male, PEPE and SALTINI is the girl.  One parent was a poodle and one parent was a Maltese.  They are both non-shedders. They came with their names but really do not recognize them. SALTINI is more curly and PEPE's hair is wavy/straight.  They are 1 1/2 years old and weigh 10 pounds.  These 2 are very bonded and will need to be adopted together.  They were owner surrendered to me as their owner begin experiencing some medical issues and could not care for them any longer. I received PEPE with a bacterial skin infection that was instantly diagnosed and treated.  He looks so much better now that the medication is healing him.  He is still healing but NOT contagious.  He has one last vet visit on Monday, March 9, 2026 and will be available to go to his new home after that.  There was nothing wrong with his sister at all.  PEPE has been groomed and SALTINI is next to be groomed. Both are very happy dogs and easy to care for because they are content to play with each other and run zoomies in the back yard and sometimes through the kitchen and living room.  It is a joy to watch them play.  They also play with the other foster dogs in the home.  PEPE is the first to come and want some love and to cuddle, SALTINI follows, she is the quiet one. They are crate and potty trained.  SALTINI will lick my leg to let me know she wants to go potty, PEPE is more lazy and will wait to go out with everyone else, he is not a leg lifter.  Both are routine type dogs and easy to care for on a daily basis.  They will bring you such joy and happiness into your home. If you are interested in adopting them, please submit an application on the website below.  I have more pictures to provide.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org       ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         March 12, 2026, 9:09 am

Story
Oliver is proof that age is just a number — because this 9-year-old boy still wakes up every day ready to play, have fun, and celebrate life. If you ask Oliver what the best thing in the world is, he won’t even hesitate: TOYS. Every kind of toy. But squeaky toys? Those are the absolute jackpot. The second Oliver spots one, his whole face lights up and he’s instantly ready for the best game ever. Toss it, squeak it, wiggle it — he is all in. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/3H4jpF_LsP4?si=yCM0J8mf3jKFrPdb Oliver could happily spend hours playing if you let him. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games, and he takes it very seriously (in the most adorable way possible). He loves grabbing onto a toy and showing off his playful side, bouncing around with that happy, excited energy that makes everyone around him smile. And while Oliver may technically be a “senior,” you’d never know it by watching him. He still has the spirit of a playful young dog who just wants to have a good time. He has that wonderful zest for life that makes every day brighter — whether he’s chasing a toy, proudly carrying one around like a prize, or zooming around with pure happiness. Oliver is also an incredibly sweet boy. He loves being around people and sharing his happy personality with everyone he meets. His playful energy is balanced by a loving heart, and he truly enjoys spending time with his humans. He’s the kind of dog who fills a home with laughter, fun, and lots of joyful moments. Because toys are such a big part of Oliver’s world, he would do best in a home with kids who are a little older and able to join in on his enthusiastic play style. He’s just such a toy-loving guy that he gets very excited when playtime starts! One thing that would make Oliver especially happy is a home with a yard. A backyard would be the perfect place for him to run around, stretch his legs, and show off his adorable zoomies while proudly carrying his favorite toy around. You can just imagine him happily bouncing around outside with a squeaky toy in his mouth, living his very best life. Oliver truly is such a special boy. He’s playful, sweet, silly, and full of personality. He has so much love, joy, and fun to bring to a home, and he deserves a family who will appreciate his playful spirit and share lots of toy-filled adventures with him. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep life fun, and remind you every day how exciting the little things can be — Oliver might just be the perfect addition to your family. All he needs now is a forever home, a basket full of toys, and someone to play with. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Imagine if a tiny cloud grew legs, developed a personality, and decided its life mission was to follow you around spreading joy and looking impossibly adorable at all times. That’s Marley Mac. With his ridiculously cute fluffy face, perfectly scruffy little beard, and eyes full of gentle sweet love, he looks like a retired wizard who gave up spellcasting to specialize in cuddles instead. One look at him and you’ll immediately understand why people stop mid-sentence just to say, “OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT HIS FACE.” Fair warning: prolonged exposure may result in excessive smiling, uncontrollable baby talk, and a sudden desire to rearrange your entire life around this tiny bearded legend. Watch his video and fall in love with this little cutie: https://youtu.be/wyn-Ridwv9s?si=KmoeBwbAp5sp6woO Marley Mac is believed to be a Miniature Poodle/Shih Tzu mix approximately 9 years old and currently weighs 14 lbs. Don’t let his age fool you though. Yes, he is an older fella but believe us when we say this little guy still has the youth of a youngster and has a personality that shines. His personality is so infectious that he can make even big dog lovers fall head over heels for him. Marley is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Marley is all about affection and spoiling you with his gentle love. He truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to his person, soaking in love and giving it right back. His energy level is beautifully balanced. Not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. He enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next to you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. He’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. He has met dogs his size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice his size! No matter the size, Marley has shown himself to be a polite, gentle gentleman when he meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. He isn’t a super playful boy for the most part, but when he does play he has a very light-hearted, bouncy playstyle that isn’t too physical. He is so cute when he is trying to get another dog to play because he does the cutest little play bows and will talk about it with a tiny little bark to get the other dog to join him. Marley is also good about respecting other dogs that do not want to play. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine by Marley too! He does not need the company of another dog to satisfy his energy needs or a pal to help him feel comfortable. He is a natural social butterfly and would love to be the center of your attention. Marley also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Marley has the kind of easygoing personality that allows him to thrive in many living situations. He would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. His well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make him a great neighbor-friendly companion. He would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where he could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after his walks. While he’d appreciate outdoor access, he doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; his happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Marley may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Marley Mac with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
